I am intrigued by all your collective work. It's a lot to wrap your head around but I have been on that belief of a past major Earth destructive event. Updated NASA Data: Global Warming Not Causing Any Polar Ice Retreat

Updated data from NASA satellite instruments reveal the Earth’s polar ice caps have not receded at all since the satellite instruments began measuring the ice caps in 1979. Since the end of 2012, moreover, total polar ice extent has largely remained above the post-1979 average. The updated data contradict one of the most frequently asserted global warming claims – that global warming is causing the polar ice caps to recede.

This has plagued since High School, and now I am 58 years old. During that time, I have read numerous authors. It truly is all pretty amazing. Swedish physicist Hannes Alfven discovered a new kind of energy in the 1950's that is actually a combination of magnetic, electrical, and physical forces.

No, actually he didn't.

Various pseudo-scientific scammers will tell you about amazing discoveries, new forms of energy etc. but they're just making stuff up to sell their books and DVDs.

Alfven made significant conributions to science, and although some of his research was disputed for a while, he was eventually proven correct. None of it involves any "new kind of energy" however.

Something worth remembering - pseudo-science is not real science!!

You can't build a computer, design a bridge or create new materials using pseudo-science. Pseudo-science can't explain planetary motion, continental drift or quantum effects. Pseudo-science fails at every challenge made to it.

The first recorded use of the word magnetohydrodynamics is by Hannes Alfvén in 1942:

The ebbing salty water flowing past London's Waterloo Bridge interacts with the Earth's magnetic field to produce a potential difference between the two river-banks. Michael Faraday tried this experiment in 1832 but the current was too small to measure with the equipment at the time, and the river bed contributed to short-circuit the signal. However, by a similar process the voltage induced by the tide in the English Channel was measured in 1851.

Hannes Olof Gösta Alfvén (Swedish: 30 May 1908 – 2 April 1995) was a Swedish electrical engineer, plasma physicist and winner of the 1970 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). He described the class of MHD waves now known as Alfvén waves. He was originally trained as an electrical power engineer and later moved to research and teaching in the fields of plasma physics and electrical engineering. Alfvén made many contributions to plasma physics, including theories describing the behavior of aurorae, the Van Allen radiation belts, the effect of magnetic storms on the Earth's magnetic field, the terrestrial magnetosphere, and the dynamics of plasmas in the Milky Way galaxy.

Don't kill the messenger.

Okay, all the snowy cold weather was caused by Artic warming per this article. I do remember days when the highest temperature were reported from Alaska. Do poles have to physically shift or could weather patterns shift away from the poles (is this the pole reversal in progress)? We need to think differently from black and white to grey to see it.
