Did the bank put the home up for auction OP? 45 days is not a lot of time considering grace periods for them to do that. There is a legal process that has to be followed and usually notifications though they are not required to notify you. I think for future note at least if you are going to miss or do partial payment you need to call them as soon as you know what is going on many will allow you to renegotiate but not communicating is a bad thing.

PS: have you checked your credit score to see if you have taken a hit at this point?

Hate to ask this but have you been "dodging" calls from the bank or not opening mail from them? Someone had to inform you that they were going to foreclose and if it's only 45 days that seems odd. Same with whatever you saw on Zillow, I'd be asking them how the process to list something as being up for auction works.

In most places if a house is going to be auctioned there's a "service" of notice to evict, etc.
