And doing that is not possible. The autothrottle system has a comparator between the two throttles. If they don't advance evenly, the comparator shuts the autothrottle system down completely - in case there is an error in its own system. It is not possible for the guy to have done this. Once on that network, he was able to gain access to other systems on the planes.

Just don't let people next to you uncover the SEB and plug an ethernet cable into it.
