T-shirt they want you to buy is made in exactly the same sweatshop. They know that if they set the price high enough people will assume the T-Shirt is made in a "worker friendly" environment. Sheep are willing to pay top dollar for the same product just so they feel a little better about themselves. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 61986846 They know that if they set the price high enough people will assume the T-Shirt is made in a "worker friendly" environment. Sheep are willing to pay top dollar for the same product just so they feel a little better about themselves. Which puts no extra money in the pockets of the workers making the product but allows them to feel better ablout themselves! Think people, if these people had a better option would they not take it? That 'sweat shop' job may look like shit to you but it may well be the difference between life and death to them and if they didn't have it then in all likelihood they'd be working harder and longer for LESS. Your sense of reality and justice doesn't fly in the third world. |
