The 2 Euro T-Shirt - A Social Experiment
A vending machine they set up in Berlin offers passers-by shirts for only 2 Euro (roughly $2.19), but there was an unexpected catch… they first had to watch a video about the exploited sweatshop laborers that make cheap clothing possible.

The results were inspiring!

I would have bought a 20's worth of shirts after the video. Keep those people employed!

Re: The 2 Euro T-Shirt - A Social Experiment
whats funny is that the $30. T-shirt they want you to buy is made in exactly the same sweatshop.
They know that if they set the price high enough people will assume the T-Shirt is made in a "worker friendly" environment.

Sheep are willing to pay top dollar for the same product just so they feel a little better about themselves.

Re: The 2 Euro T-Shirt - A Social Experiment
please...are you going to start making t-shirts again in the U.K.?

It's not only Primark that makes their clothes in India, Bangladesh, Vietnam , China and the rest, if you look at the labels it's also the shirts from the very expensive stores.

Which puts no extra money in the pockets of the workers making the product but allows them to feel better ablout themselves! Think people, if these people had a better option would they not take it? That 'sweat shop' job may look like shit to you but it may well be the difference between life and death to them and if they didn't have it then in all likelihood they'd be working harder and longer for LESS. Your sense of reality and justice doesn't fly in the third world.
