And this is why I'm thankful I didn't have the Internet when I was a teen! | |

I'm grateful I grew up in the 70's/80's. TPTB had just started their war on education, so my generation made it through the indoctrination with war wounds, but intact, for the most part. Generation X may be the last generation to know and remember what true freedom was like. A time where a teenager could disappear from the world with his friends for an entire day and as long as we made it back at an agreed upon time, all was cool. Everything is so screwed up now, I even have a hard time telling which way is up. I can imagine what it's like for a kid just developing critical thinking skills. What a nightmare. |

I am a generation X'er and it has been hard to watch the decay as it has happened. I am very grateful I received my education before it all went to hell though. I had such high hopes for everything until about my mid twenties when I finally woke up to all the bs. I don't even really participate with society anymore. I deal with the idiots that I work with because I have to but besides that I just mind my own business. It's just easier. |

I've always been distrustful of government, but I never dreamed I'd see this day come so soon. I too started waking up in my 20's. Lot's of sleepless nights with Art Bell. Those were the days. |
