ariving in colorado tonight

I live in Denver. You could just set up a PO Box somewhere like mailboxes etc, etc.. Most will even forward your mail to somewhere else if you ask them to. Denver is expensive and getting pricier by the day. Loveland might not be too bad, but it's not known for low prices. Someone already said it's still a bit chilly at night. Southern Colorado is going to be a little warmer right now if you're tenting it. Plus, the mountains in the southern part of the state are by far the most beautiful because they're younger and more rugged, but are also much more isolated and uninhabited so just be aware. Someone mentioned SLV, which is San Luis Valley, which is southern Colorado. Great Sand Dunes are also southern Colorado. Four corners as well as Dinosaur National Monument are epic and off the beaten path. If you're here for weed, not knowing anyone, you could easily score some herb on Craig's. The stores are an expensive joke. Real estate prices are at an all time here with no end in sight. Definitely a sellers market. Construction on new multi-family and upgrades to existing structures is booming right now. I said in the opening Denver is expensive, which I think would make it hard for someone who was trying to get ahead. What kind work can/want you do OP?

I will do anything for work other than fast food. But for an extended stay I want to find something cheap I know that may not be an option. Are there any hostels? Are there any places to work for a room and possibly some money and food? I am willing to do anything right now. And again I'm so grateful everyone is helping out. I wouldn't even mind meeting people in the next few days to talk. But thank you thank you.

Hey man. I hate to burst your bubble but if you have no I.D. in this day and age you will not find gainful employment around here. (Can you even get a campsite without I.D.?) In addition, since the legalization of weed, the state has been flooded young freethinkers such as yourself. A lot of you come here, smoke a lot of pot, can not speak in complete sentences, have personal hygienic issues, can not get a job, and end up on the street.

Colorado is full to the brim with people that came here in much the same way you are. Now they are too broke to go back home and the normally quite tolerant natives are getting sick of it.

Buy yourself some weed and go home. Oh wait! you may need I.D. for that too. Dummy!

We are doing good, nowhere near breaking the bank yet. Food is even cheaper here than Indiana so that's a plus. It's just finding somewhere to stay so we can snag a job somewhere.

We have a place to stay for a week and we are taking this time to look around us and find a job for good income. We also need A hostel or something of the sort. We are getting a p.o. box to get mail.

So far so good,, just really tired from so much sitting. I'm so relaxed and ready to sleep. There seems like so much to do but idk. I feel like we can do this. Even though I do not have an identification, my cousin does.

All is well right now.

We are staying at an extended stay for 1 week. Monetarily, it wasn't ideal, but for now, we are good for a week. This is a little headquarters for us for right now. It's even pet friendly so my dog wasn't a problem. It's allowed us to sleep in, eat breakfast, and clear our minds.

We have now until Tues, Apr 28th before we are again just looking for somewhere to STAY. That we ultimately would like to accomplish on our own, but even if we could stay in someones backyard i wouldn't care haha. We have a lot of valuables in my car and my dog, those are our only weak points. It's not like we could take from anyone, we don't have the room or the need for that. Nor would we want to, that's the last thing on my mind.

I want to get back to a situation where we have a place, we're working and from there we'll be golden. We could start saving again.

Reasonably, he and I could afford to split bills in half and make it much easier here than we did in Indy, though housing is higher here (apartments, trailers, etc., not actual homes, we're not even close to that point yet lol).

A buddy of mine that moved here ahead of me that I used to work with may or may not actually have a residential address, I still don't know. That is what we are finding is most essential right now is just somewhere we can call "home" even if just for mail to get that job/ID/place.

It's funny, I could get right into the company I washed my hands of. I don't want to disclose which company that is but they're huge and everywhere and it would be an easy foot in the door situation. That could always be my fall back.

Right now though, I feel the power within my heart for this to work.

So here is a recap of what we believe we should do:

-GET A MAILING/"RESIDENTIAL" ADDRESS (I would be so humbled if somebody even received mail for me and I'm not afraid to meet anybody. If not, we could do a PO BOX but that doesn't count as proof of residence for Willows ID)

-HAVE ID!!! (I have mine and Willow has helped me a lot so I wouldn't mind getting us started. That'd only help him out)

-GET A JOB

-GET A PLACE

..... That's really it.

We have money to get started with said place, we just need a mailing/"residential" address. That is key.

There is a lot more.

I'm going to sign in under my account which is upgraded and send some of you some pm's, including the gentleman/woman that is in Ft. Collins.
