Let's say all of a sudden the U.S. gov says surrender your......
I have questions.

Let's say all of a sudden, in all states at once, the U.S. gov says surrender your weapons.

1). What percent will?
2). For those that won't, will police start coming door to door? And if they do, how will civilians gather together to stop them if they have sound wave devices that incapacitate groups of people.
3). If militia groups travel to defend specific areas, how will they communicate strategies and elicit support from everyday people.
4). How the hell will people communicate with each other to form resistance plans.

People have been brainwashed by terminator type movies that show people of resistance survivivg in small ineffective groups.

We know millions of Americans are armed, but when isolated, people feel small.

How do people gather without leadership? I have managed hundreds of people and know the mentality of compliance.

Really, what would you do if this happened tomorrow?

They don't do it a block at a time. They do it a few here, a few there, one at a time. It's called the federal government system. That's what "arrests" are.

That's why it's called a force, not an option.

Fucking goat herders in Afghanistan stood up against the best militaries in the world and sent them packing. Forced the Russians out and made us fight from massive armored vehicles with drones.

Don't ever underestimate people.

It would be better to have those small independent cells all operating on there own without anyone else knowing. It works as it makes the adversaries lose morale.

One person opening fire on a convoy of troops would draw lots of resources and anyone smart would then hit on their own when they see personnel and equipment moving. Chaos.

As that starts, a core group would form that would hopefully take it to more conventional means of fighting. Lots and lots of very skilled individuals out there that wouldn't hesitate to use what they know. Hell, Uncle Sam paid to train most of them. Just think of all the vets that have been screwed over by the gov, they aren't happy.

It won't be anything like the movies, correct, its just going to be a horrible time. Hope it doesn't ever get to the point of shooting.

I'm going to obey and turn in everything. even my pocket knife and folding shovel. we must obey. on the other hand, if every gun owner would shoot it out with them when they came for the guns, how long before they would rethink that idea ?

Problem here would be friendly fire casualties. That's always a problem in disciplined military unit, so if there were independent cells unaware of each other in overlapping territories, then the FF rate would create hostilities and chaotic environments.

Yup, they will never provide you with a line in the sand, just more steady, slow, incremental-ism that you can always find a way to tolerate.

High cap mags, then 10 round mags, then 5 round mags, then 3 round mags, then take all the weapons that are largely useless with nothing but a 3 round mag, and so on. And you'll learn begrudgingly to live with each new round. By the time you're down to the single barrel .22, you're fucked and there will be nothing you can do about it. That's why I always say, don't wait for hat's never going to come. If you think you need to start shooting people, better today than tomorrow. Tomorrow you won't have the means or the inclination to do it.

Absolutely. During your revolution the Colonials so terrorized all the British loyalists that they fled for their lives to Canada or back to England. By the time the thing ended, there was nobody still loyal to the King left in the United States. At that point, even if the King won, he wouldn't have been able to find anybody loyal to him to run the joint.

When it comes, it's a political cleansing. Run anybody loyal to Washington out of your area at the point of a spear, or kill them. Kill enough of them and the rest will flee. That's how you consolidate your territory and make it next to impossible to bring it back into the fold even if it is re-taken. Eventually they'll understand that even winning is still losing and they'll give up, just like King George did.

The 3% is the percentage of the population of the colonies that actively fought the British, less than 10% gave support to them. There was a percentage of loyalists, but i don't recall it. A vast majority just tried to go about their lives.

One of our most powerful weapons is freedom of choice...but what if that was suddenly taken away?
In Australia that has just happened for many parents. Safety in numbers you say? No, because they've successfully garnered enough fear-fueled support for mandatory vaccines.
So, they've tried the same sort of fear-fueled support for the anti-gun laws...we all know what was done.
The American people didn't go for it though...and why? Because they/we know that if the government doesn't put down their weapons first, ain't no way in hell anyone else will - willingly that is.
Plan B. Take them by force. Same as in Australia with vaccines...soon to be in NZ and already happening across the US.

1) 85%

2) smart ones wont need to gather

3)they will find a way ie afghanistan , vietnam

4) they will find a way

NVA formed in small battalions , and fended off the most powerful military machine of their day by engaging in guerilla warfare. A very basic a symmetrical way of fighting when out gunned and out numbered

You are sorely underestimating the will of people prepared for a conflict to survive against overwhelming odds.

this whole black vs white paradigm is backfiring causing people who would never think of training to defend themselves to now train , stack weapons.

There are probably 20 or more people who own a gun for every police officer around here, and some of the farmers own dozens of firearms with thousands of rounds. It's unlikely the police would even enforce any order to confiscate guns here in South Dakota. I'm sure the same would be true in Nebraska straight south to Texas. I can't speak for any of the other states.

Basically they'd be turning law abiding citizens into criminals and creating a state of pure anarchy for no reason other than to satisfy their political viewpoint. Good luck with that. Not happening any time soon.
