how much freeze dried food could you store in these stores, if you ripped out all the racks, and simply used it as a bulk storage facility?
lots, i bet, and no-one would question walmart lorries going back and fore
it does depend on LOTS keeping their mouths shut though, but perhaps the imminence of said doom, means all that is moot now?

Not my problem syndrome. well, it stands to reason that the GOV have a fuckload of freeze dried food stockpiled somewhere, for just the scenario OP postulated tricky part is getting out to regional distribution points, and to be honest, 'plumbing' is a PISS POOR excuse to come up with also, when Jelly finally DOES blow, there won't actually BE that many survivors, especially UNDER the cloud. think on THAT Why would they waste it on civilians? I am betting they are using the WalMarts to store up freeze dried foods plus other supplies for the military. They don't need civilians.
