I'm an atheist so I have no agenda to promote or protect any "holy book" whatsoever. To me it is all bullshit. Literally. But that's another topic of discussion.
Let me say this though -- America was founded on Christian principals. There is no denying that those very principals made America the greatest country to ever exist and as America slowly loses her Christian principals, we can see the result -- this is a sinking ship, fast.
Those who forget where they came from soon find out how fast their end comes.
I'm not promoting atheism as that is a personal choice and I believe humans have not evolved far enough to accept the truth that there is no god, which is why we must maintain our Christian heritage.

The average person needs something to keep them in check and tell them how to live and think. Religion has a lot of problems but its much better than building a huge tyrannical government. By the way there is a portion of the atheist community that are no better than the religious when it comes to being busy bodies and trying to force their beliefs on others. I prefer a lukewarm Christian over a radical atheist. Very true.
