McDonald's is overtaxing it's customers...
I live in Massachusetts where the sales tax is 6.25%.

When I buy a large coffee in the morning, which costs $1.00, the total comes to $1.07 - $0.01 more than it should be.

I have since found that a friend of mine has been aware of this for years now, and inquired about the overcharge a few years ago. He said that he was told by an employee that the computers were broken and couldn't be changed to correct this overcharge.

So I went on Google and found this story from 2009:

Newton McDonald’s overcharging on sales tax

The two McDonald's restaurants in Newton have been charging 7 percent sales tax on its meals, even though the restaurant tax in Newton is 6.25 percent....

Then I found that a local news station had done a story about this last year when the sales tax was first increased:

Hank Investigates: McDonald's Tax Trouble

Next time you go to McDonald's, check how much you're being charged for whatever you buy, because how much money is McDonald's taking in every single day that they continue to illegally doing this?

So how much money is McDonald's robbing customers of every year?

It's a small amount overcharged times the thousands they make in profit per store per day, times the amount of stores this is happening in.
