What is abuse?
1) Does an abuser make you feel worthless?
2) Does an abuser tell you that you'll never be good enough?
3) Does a abuser manipulate you?
4) Does the act of the abuser leave you confused and conflicted?
5) Does an abuser hold out a carrot for you to chase thinking that the abuse will end if you obey?
6) Is it abusive to have killed MILLIONS of people just because they could not or did not live up to your standards?
7) Would an abuser allow a human sacrifice unto himself and actually allow it? (Judges 11:29-40 )
8) Would an abuser tell you how much he loves you then hurt and punish your not for a few weeks but for an eternity if you did not agree with him?
9) Would an abuser confound you by not speaking clearly and when you fail blame you?
10) If an abusive entity created you and you failed is it your fault or the abusive entity that created you?
11) lastly you are nothing, your righteousness is as filthy menstrual bloody rags, you cannot win without the abuser...
12) Would you feel abused if the one who said they loved you flooded all the Earth killing billions of innocent children and babies and blamed you for it instead of themselves who created all? Then the abuser says he repented of ever creating mankind, like it is our fault and we deserve death and cruel punishment because we were born to fail.
13) Does an abuser ever accept 100% accountability responsibility for fault or error?

Does absolute power corrupt absolutely? Duh!

Rant

 Quoting: Dr. Wicky Whacky 68589250

1) Does an abuser make you feel worthless?

Humility is what God wants so that he can mold you into a better person.

2) Does an abuser tell you that you'll never be good enough?

He does, but through the power of His Grace and the Sacrifice of the Lamb. He will change your heart and mind. All you have to do is ask.

3) Does a abuser manipulate you?

4) Does the act of the abuser leave you confused and conflicted? Pray and ask for wisdom

5) Does an abuser hold out a carrot for you to chase thinking that the abuse will end if you obey?

God wants you have a holy life not necessarily an easy one

6) Is it abusive to have killed MILLIONS of people just because they could not or did not live up to your standards?

Is it? That's for you to decide

7) Would an abuser allow a human sacrifice unto himself and actually allow it? (Judges 11:29-40 )

That's a long one and a mistranslation. Please follow this link. [link to www.ecclesia.org]

8) Would an abuser tell you how much he loves you then hurt and punish your not for a few weeks but for an eternity if you did not agree with him?

God is Merciful and full of Grace. He sent His Son, Jesus to Earth to die in our place. He is a God of Justice though. Think of what your "shortcomings" may have had on you fellow humans.

9) Would an abuser confound you by not speaking clearly and when you fail blame you? That's a human problem.

10) If an abusive entity created you and you failed is it your fault or the abusive entity that created you? If children are lovingly corrected by their parents. They grow up to be horrendous adults. It's even more so with souls. Look at Lucifer.

11) lastly you are nothing, your righteousness is as filthy menstrual bloody rags, you cannot win without the abuser...

He died a horrible death for us!

Blame Adam and the fallen angels for that one

13) Does an abuser ever accept 100% accountability responsibility for fault or error?

Yes, and He died for it

Another question, since there are multiple brides, then plural marriage (polygamy) is a valid marriage relationship in the New Covenant, yes?

All about heart; your heart....

The foolish virgins were not foolish because they ran out of oil or weren't prepared. They were "foolish" because they left rather than remaining to await The Bridegroom. The didn't need lamps or oil to walk-with The Bridegroom.

Why cite this when Matt 22 is more direct in terms of Witness?

Matthew 22

1. And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,
2. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6. And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12. And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14. For many are called, but few are chosen.

Your Wedding Garment is your Born-Again Heart. The Ezekiel 36:26 "New Heart Of Flesh" that Father Will Give you if you surrender self Unto HIM.

When you have your Wedding Garment, your Born-Again Heart, Father Will Enable you to KNOW and DO HIS Will. Ezekiel 36:27

Many are Called, but few are Chosen...
It is YOU who must choose!
You who must decide if you can Trust God Fully or not.
You who must take John 3:14 action to ask God To Accept The Offering you make of your life...

Can't witness/testify that you Know God The Father and God The Son? Then, obviously, you don't!

Jesus Witnesses in Matt 7:21-23 that HE ONLY Knows those "who Do The Will Of MY Father Which Art In Heaven". Followers may have "done mighty works, cast-out demons, and prophesied IN HIS Name" but if they aren't Known BY HIM because Father Enabled them to Be Born-Again, HE Will Say, "Depart from ME, you who work iniquity; I KNOW YOU NOT!"

I do know Jesus, he has spoken to me many times. I love him with all of my heart and I seek him everyday, but I still have feelings of unworthiness. I try to live a holy life, but I get caught up in life and the worldly things sometimes. I ask that the father show mercy on me and my family and count us worthy to be raptured, but the feeling of unworthiness persists.

Re: Are you ready for the wedding feast?
"Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten virgins, who took their lamps, and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. Those who were foolish, when they took their lamps, took no oil with them, but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. Now while the bridegroom delayed, they all slumbered and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, "Behold! The bridegroom is coming! Come out to meet him!" Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. The foolish said to the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out." But the wise answered, saying, "What if there isn't enough for us and you? You go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves." While they went away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins also came, saying, "Lord, Lord, open to us." But he answered, "Most certainly I tell you, I don't know you." Watch therefore, for you don't know the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

What is the difference between the wise and the foolish virgins ? Why not share the oil ? This was not selfishness or unkindness. The kind of oil that is needed to illuminate the way and light up the darkness is not shareable. All of us must obtain that kind of oil for themselves.

This “oil” can be purchased in a very special marketplace. The currency being righteous living, tithing, righteous living, prayer, reading the Word of God. Do you share your faith or testimony with others? Are you humble? Do you help others?

So many things to do and the time is short.

May the Lord bless us all

Re: Are you ready for the wedding feast?
The Parable of the Ten Virgins is an accurate picture of the Church today.

"Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins..." [Matt.25:1]

The Lord said,

"...Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." [Matt 3:2]

These words are for us.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." [Matt.7:21]

These words again are for us.

Of the ten virgins we read that,

"...five of them were wise, and five were foolish." [Matt.25:2]

The wise, who have oil, are those who hear what the Lord says in His Word and do it.

While the foolish hear the very same Word and do not do it.

Hearing the Word and not doing it, is what it means to not have oil!

"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man..." [Matt.7:24]

"And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man..." [Matt.7:26]

The very thought of being responsible for what they do or do not do, scares many Christians!

They don't want to take responsibility for there actions.

They want to believe without doing!

This is what demons do!

"...demons believe - and tremble." [James 2:19]

The truth is: Believing IS doing!

The Holy Spirit inspired words of James will not go away!

"Faith without works is dead..." [James 2:20]

"...a man is justified BY WORKS, AND NOT BY FAITH ONLY." [James 2:24]

Some have chosen to twist Paul's letters to come up with a doctrine that absolves them from any responsibility for their works.

"...the dead were judged according to their works..." [Rev.20:12]

God will judge to hell the spiritually dead for their evil works, and will judge to heaven all those who have eternal life, and as a result are producing good works!

If we have eternal life we will produce good works.

The good works we produce is the evidence we have oil, and the Holy Spirit is working in us.

"To those who seek glory, honor and immortality by perseverance in doing good, he will pay back eternal life." [Rom.2:7]

"...the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life..." [John 5:28,29]

"So let us not grow weary of doing what is good; for if we don’t give up, we will in due time reap the harvest." [Gal.6:9]

"...don’t forget doing good and sharing with others, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." [Heb.13:16]

Amen brother or sister, but I must ask who are you? More importantly you knew that I would come here and read some of your posts and bible passages on this thread. Which through God, Jesus, The Holy Spirit, and The Holy Trinity really moved me as all God's words truly do. I thank-you for that, I have a feeling our paths will cross, in a matter of fact they will cross someday soon. When that time comes remember this post my friend remember this post.

That's a little bit different of a description. Some say he is the breath of God. Others , like I, think he is another part of the Trinity.

I've heard theories that when God spoke Creation into existence it was the Divine vibration that did it. We can ask when that time comes.

Our "job" is to give to glory to the Father through our words and actions through the Lamb of God. He reached down to the us through Jesus and through his Holy Spirit.

Do you ever the still small voice? The one that coaxes you to be kind, to pray, not do certain things?

I think of the foolish as the ones who listen to the prosperity pastors. They don't have the oil or Holy Spirit because they instead look for things or prosperity. So that is why they are told to go buy "it". Because that's the way they see things so then they foolishly go. They are deceived into thinking they needed to do that when it was there the whole time. All they had to do was ask the Lord. But they just didn't get it, and because of that- they didn't know the Lord and the Lord didn't know them. The books sold by these pastors is a false gospel that people continually go buy when all they needed was the Holy Bible.

Re: Are you ready for the wedding feast?
I have thought about this for a long time and the virgins are those who do not Take the Mark of the Beast and remain dedicated to Jesus and worthy of Heaven.

The garden they go out to wait for the bridegroom and the lord says those who wait for me will not be put to shame and i will consume them all together.

They do not share their oil and yet are called wise.

If the oil were the Holy Spirit they would share it and receive more.

If the oil were the word of God they would share it and would be wise.

Since they are wise not to share what they have a small supply of and only enough for themselves that they brought with them, an even God would not think less of them for not sharing, is food for themselves, and their children, and parents while we wait several months in the wilderness starting in May. Except I don't believe the part about the rapture, same for me AC the rest of what you said, I guess it is part of the journey.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42002742

The Rapture is when all of us both worthy and unworthy are gathered in the cloud, it is not an accident that it comes in the year of Jubilee, all is mercy and forgiveness, if you are not evil, the lord wants all those who Don't take the mark of the beast.

He will consume us with fire and give us new bodies, the same way you got the one you are in now. SaintVron

Re: Are you ready for the wedding feast?
So, who are the virgins, or they the Bride or are they the bridesmaids?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 42002742

The Virgins are you, husband wife and children who go into the wilderness and wait for Jesus without the Mark of the Beast. SaintVron
 Quoting: SaintVron

Then who are the bridesmaids? And for that matter, who are the guests?

Another question, since there are multiple brides, then plural marriage (polygamy) is a valid marriage relationship in the New Covenant, yes?
