Robert Schuller, Crystal Cathedral megachurch founder, dies
Personally, this has no effect on me as I never watched him, never COULD watch him as he clashed with my spirit,

but
just to put you in the know:

[snip]
In 2013, he was diagnosed with a tumor in his esophagus that had spread to his lymph nodes and began treatment.

Once a charismatic and well-known presence on the televangelist circuit, Schuller faded from view in recent years
after watching his church collapse amid a disastrous leadership transition and sharp declines in viewership and
donations that ultimately forced the ministry to file for bankruptcy.

the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24

Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him;
and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.

He was old 30 years ago when I was watching him (and all the other televangelists). The crystal cathedral is quite a building, I'll give him that. He also managed to steer clear of most politics which was wasn't an easy feat during the 80's. Farewell Bob, I guess your son will take over now?

Yes, I can agree with you that the crystal cathedral appeared to be an amazing piece of architecture.

It is the "largest glass building in the world,
it has one of the largest musical instruments in the world, the Hazel Wright Memorial organ.

The building, especially the interior sanctuary, is currently being renovated to accommodate the Roman Catholic
liturgy and is due to re-open in 2016, at which time it is expected to be consecrated and formally renamed Christ
Cathedral and become the seat of the Diocese of Orange".
