RCMP make terrorism arrest in P.E.I. - Iranian Chemistry student apprehended

"RCMP say they have reasonable grounds to believe UPEI student would have committed a terrorism offence
Chemistry students at UPEI are rattled by news that a fellow student was charged because police believe the young man may have been planning terror-related crimes.

“There’s just a sense of shock,’’ said one female student, who asked not to be identified.

“We’re not expecting anything like this.’’

RCMP confirmed to The Guardian Wednesday that Amir Raisolsadat was arrested Tuesday following a peace bond ordered under the Criminal Code of Canada."

According to the local news the peace bond stipulates weekly check-in's with the RCMP HQ.

Is this a witch-hunt or is he an ISIS Lone-wolf operative?

Must not have much of a case if they didn't hold him on a national security ticket.

He has family here and went to high school on the island.
I'm guessing (hoping) it's an over-reaction to all the ISIS threats and he's just a happy islander who likes chemistry.

They said there were links to blogs where chemical weapons were sold, but those sites now disappeared.

He could be the real deal or a patsy.

We need to stop letting them in.

Or just a newcomer...

I've got to think the RCMP have some concrete evidence otherwise it is just plain harassment.

Hell, if it can happen on little PEI,
it can happen anywhere.
