This role model had to be broken, so that people would be more influenciable to submission, as a satistied and happy society is not in need of a new order. TV shows like The twilight zone, for instance, helped tptb to convey the idea that there was something beyond JesusChrist that needed an explanation other than what the Bible had to offer.
