The notion that man can control and is somehow seperate from nature can be traced to the foundations of the Abrahamic religions. The garden of Eden etc. The reality is we have never left the garden of Eden. We have just lost the ability to see that, due to 3000 years of brainwashing. There are examples of American Indians being introduced to Chrisitianity who were like "Wait a second....You telling me my forefathers were kicked out of paradise....wow how can you respect your environment if you think you exist outside of it, and can control it for your own selfish gains......your fucked you known" Everything is natural, including fukishima, wars, skyrises (just like ant hills), cars and GLP. And long after we're gone the garden will continue, with or without us. |
