It also proved what I said earlier - how all of the "white chicks" you knew were just a bunch of sheep being influenced by what they perceived as being "cool" at the time. When that stunt occurred they panicked and moved on to the latest "cool" thing.

If they REALLY liked Disco, they would have said "F*** YOU - I'M STILL LISTENING TO AND DANCING TO IT".

I also liked how all of the people who claimed that people who enjoyed Disco were phonies, but then in 1980 when Urban Cowboy came out, those same critics dressed up in jeans and Stensons and said "Yee-Haw! We're cowboys!"

With all due respect, dumbass; I spun the majority of the tunes on this thread. I'm the OP. I was in a band in 1979 at the pivotal moment when the new generation moved on to metal and/or new wave.

I lament that I was only a lil ten year old at the height of disco around 75-76. I would gladly give up the offset to have been 18 then and 57 now. There was some wild shit going on back in the seventies. They took the 60s and kicked it up a notch.
