When exactly this occurred, how it slid through that joke of a congress we have, I don't know. These stops are not ON the borders. we have checkpoints in Northern California at state border to check we aren't transporting produce into California due to insect proliferation which had caused harm to California produce. All they do is ask if you have produce, and take your word for it. The last few years they just wave you through with no questions. However in this situation, illegals have crossed the border and been picked up later to be transported somewhere. Everyone has been complaining about loose borders and illegals swarming in, and it seems the border patrol is checking out who is coming in. So I wonder why people are mad at them for doing a job they complain needs to be done? Lots of things are happening in our country with no explanations; laws are being written we ave never heard of or agreed to. They are moving fast. Going into Canada he was harassed by border patrol agents for 2.5 hours. They trashed his car when they searched it & made his 2 dogs stay in the car while they interrogated him. The name of one of his dogs is Denali & they said that was a "code word" for something not a dogs name. They thought it was weird that someone from Iowa was traveling into Canada & even weirder that he was only traveling into Canada for the day. Canada was a second home, would pop over for lunch, going out with girlfriends when I just got my license, etc. The border patrol was always cool and friendly.
