Man sentenced to 99 years in prison for animal cruelty...

My friend got sentenced for two years for animal cruelty.

His fiance at the time told cops that be let the cats out of the house on purpose.

So why doesn't everyone get two years for posting lost animal signs.

I don't agree with that at all. You can buy a shit rat dog for $150 at the pound. That's about 15 hours work for somebody making 10 bucks an hour. 15 hours community service would be a just sentence, I would even be ok with it if they doubled it to 30. Any sentence higher than that is an absolute travesty of justice. Punishment must fit the crime. Neglecting a wild animal is barely even a crime at all, if you can even consider it a crime.
