Mad Men - Conspiracy clues from the 60's and 70's hidden in plain sight.
So, I just watched every season of this show in the past two months or so.

I noticed there are SO many references to many events--to which we now seriously question, of course. We NOW identify these as conspiracies, and I found it really interesting seeing the events depicted on the series. They left clues.

To name just a few:

Kennedy assassination.

Holocaust.

Death of MLK.

Vietnam war.

Feminism.

There are others, too.

It got me thinking.

These advertising agencies did alot of psychological research. I think the research was used to see how Americans would react to certain events, ie. the assassination of their president, Lee Harvey Oswald, MLK, etc.

Television has been SUCH a huge factor in terms of what Americans believe to be true. I find it incredibly ironic that a TV show about TV advertising leaves us clues about how we were subjected to propaganda during 60-70's via the TV.

I'm going to try and find some Youtube clips of the program, that hint about some of these conspiracy-related events, and hopefully, ya'll can tell me what you think.

Thanks.

Okay, here is a scene where Ginsberg (a jewish copywriter recently hired by Don) talks about the Holocaust, and the death of his family, etc. He says he is from Mars.

I thought it was quite strange. I'll find some more. This show is riddled with stuff like this.

People who don't like Mad Men want to believe the 60's were the "good ole days".

When something like this:

Is the end of your advertising career.

Well, In all honesty the show takes place in the 60's and 70's so why would they not talk about what happened in 60's and 70's? I watched the show and I don't really see a conspiracy. IMHO
