Pure propaganda. There was 2 actually studies done on 2015 that vapor clouds exhaled to basic human breath being exhaled or the normal air in a room.

Well,what's the deal with the formaldehyde? I thought the main ingredient was either vegetable oil or propelyne glycol as the heating agent?

Thats what happens when you toke polypropylene glycol.

Roll your own cigs with quality tobacco. Don't fool around with all those chemicals. No one has any clue what the long term effects are.

Regarding formaldehyde

The study found NO formaldehyde in the normal 3v-4v range.

The most recent study referring to formaldehyde was done as 5 volts. Nobody vapes at 5v. Most batteries being used today run in the 3.3v-3.7v- range

Formaldehyde gas is naturally occurring. It happens in greater amounts when metal is heated up(in this case at 5v) it gives it off.

They produced formaldehyde with insanely high power settings from what i was told. Again, thats hearsay so no one bust a nut.

You can get whatever you want with studies when you tweak those numbers. Just look at all the global warming bs.

The study was faked, they torched metal in order to get th results, it's physically impossible to smoke metal.

Nope it was the all the atomic tests in the middle of the last century that caused all the cancer. After most of the people who'd breathed in the radiation had died off they pushed the big 'quit smoking' campaign so the numbers would look like it was the cigarettes causing it. I'm not defending smoking, it's bad for other reasons; they just made cancer a 'rider' like the government does.

Propylene glycol is used as a carrier for many intravenous medicines.

Chances are if you've been to the ER or hospitalized they have injected PG directly in to your veins.

This study has to do with formaldehyde gas created from the metals in the coils using much higher voltage than an e cig uses.

At the normal voltage NO formaldehyde was found+

Ive never read that vaping is safe for you, i have read thats its quitethe harm reduction when compared to cigs.

I've been using an e cig daily since 2010. I've vaporized literally thousands of milliliters of e juice into my lungs. I don't have cancer...yet.

Don't forget most ice creams and salad dressings, they have it too.

It's not just propylene glycol in them....but go ahead....keep trying to justify man made chemicals as acceptable over naturally produced products.

My intent is not to defend e-cigs. There is a lot unknown

I'm only referring to the story in the OP and formaldehyde and the misconceptions about PG.

I've vaped for over 3 years and have always had worries. I wish there were more studies but there aren't. So far all the studies show no harm so I feel a bit more comfortable.

Tobacco is a known. I know my grandmother smoked until her death at 87--no cancer My father has smoke since he was 14 and he is 77 today--no cancer.

I quit tobacco for money reasons and I was tired of smelling like an ash tray.

If they end up taxing e-cigs as a tobacco product like they want to I'll go back to cigs..

you get more carcinogens at higher temps

most e-cigs burn below those dangerous temps, or will shut down the coil if it gets too hot
