Strange 'double blob' atop Martian atmosphere puzzles scientists So what exactly is going on in the Martian atmosphere? Aside from these two theories, scientists don't really know. But thanks to the work of citizen astronomers backed up with data from the Hubble telescope (which, researchers just realized, spotted a similar event in 1997) they now know the phenomenon exists and can put more time and energy into understanding it. "We just have to keep watching with telescopes on Earth and with spacecraft," Sánchez-Lavega told National Geographic. "And because they're so numerous, so widely spread around Earth and so dedicated, amateurs will continue to play a fundamental role." It seems possible mars had a civilization at some point. It's been speculated there is even life, moss and the like, in the cave systems under t h e surface and that would be the ideal place to try and set up a base to colonize. |

I read the title and instantly recalled Total Recall. To see the word 'Terminator' in the article, only reinforced it. WHo knew? Much of the poignant scenes of the original Total Recall, is absent from YouTube. It was tricky to find what I posted. Most likely due to scenes being deleted due to copyright issues... I have looked for the 'super hero' package selling scene, repeatedly. For most likely obvious reasons. Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

That reminds of another particularity of coming out of sleep I notice many times a year. Particularly, when I am on the road for work and sleep somewhere unusual. There are those few moments when coming out of sleep, where you are awake, but you do not recall where you are or even who you are. Without opening your eyes, some part of you knows you are in a different location than usual for your sleep/wake cycle and it causes a lengthening of amnesia even remember who one is. I have had it last up to 5-6 seconds while feeling a small sense of terror of not knowing who or where you are. Does that happen to you? I notice it happens when I go from here to the beach house as well. Last Edited by Seer777 on 02/20/2015 02:10 PM Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

I was more thinking in the sense of those who claim we 'blink out' after death. I always found that thought a bit scary. However, I find the concept of existing forever, also scary. I realized recently I 'blink out' every single night. When I am not dreaming, I am unaware of anything, unless something rouses me into consciousness. I guess what I am saying is, I found another way of looking at it, to overcome any fear of no afterlife... Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

Quoting: Facts>feelings I don't worry about it because it's too early to. Brutally simple and foolhardy. My version of occams razor. What's scary to me is how appealing the idea of feeling nothing anymore can be. Well. One never knows for sure when their card is going to be called. Feeling nothing, or being aware of nothing certainly has its charms. On another note, I just started watching Vikings. About 20 minutes into the first episode. I can already tell it is gonna be entertaining. :) Difficulties strengthen the Mind as labor does the body... ~Seneca |

I keep thinking my dreams are astral stuff, until I live the day they foretold. ??? Heya Bohdi! Thanks. :) Are you talking about precognitive dreams? Deja vu? I read a post here 2 days ago concerning dreaming and precognition that struck a chord with me. I'll see if I can find it. I was just over at GMG checking things out.
