People have constructed bubble illusions to act as comfort zones for their reality. If someone has a different thought or opinion that does not work, you get a fight or flight reaction more than often with indoctrinated folks. In the case of indoctrinated people, all they know is what they know and what they can learn is limited by the platform of thought they are working with, in most cases pages from a book handed to them by authority figures. |

Gotta love how they love telling people there going to burn in hell & all the hateful red karma they give out... And if you know the words that the world is made of, you can make of it whatever you wish." ~ Terence McKenna |

It is the stem of their fear and is the blazing neon sign that says "you're doing it all wrong". You see if they had no doubt, they wouldn't believe, they would know. If they knew, there would be no reason to defend their viewpoint and only a reason to understand another's viewpoint better. |

Gray areas are always in existence for every subject of discussion. I was thinking aside from how that was delivered your name does have a lot of dogma attached to it as far as religions go. So people will see that and you already can gather what their image is going to be. You might as well be walking around with a stick poking religious people then wondering why they perceivably hiss at you. Don't mind me, I am just relaying a thought I had earlier about that exact post. The intent was obviously to me, delivered with a jab, a little aggressive but the message was pretty obvious. |

Also another jab I receive in return because of what I willingly and knowingly attached to my name. I like it because it emphasizes the hypocrisy in the religious beliefs. "judge the lest ye be judged" Quoting: serpents666 I find it funny. You certainly don't come across as someone on either side of that dogma fence. If you want to attract the people in question, the name is certainly a key word. So I suppose that answers half the question. Reaction to a symbol that over rides critical thought. |

I purposely invite opposition, I enjoy telling others I believe they're wrong and why. I enjoy hearing why I am wrong, however I hear more superstition than factual basis as to why I am wrong, this is my whole purpose for this thread. To get serious intellect critically forming ideas based upon reason and logic. serpents666 |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 45253895 United States 02/14/2015 09:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In this world we praise education, so how does thinking with an education mean someone's raising Satan above all of creation? The more educated I become the more I question, this is fact. Although I question and believe different things, the light is being brought to me by my wanting to know as much as I can. Knowledge has kept me alive, my heart hasn't gave out because I had a reason to wake up, that reason was wanting to understand everything. So help me understand why it is anyone outside of the realm of stereotypical religious is automatically a demon worshipper? You are saying a Fetus lept for joy? At what stage of your beliefs do you totally throw any logic aside? It seems to me religion is a steady withdrawal of logic with each belief more fanciful than the prior one. There must be a tipping point when the believer just gives up questioning and just agrees without thought . I am not trolling and are curious to know without random bible quotes how this happens? |
