The Body Fuels The Mind
Your body is your temple, and how you maintain that temple determines how healthy your mind and your spirit are. How many of us grumble about how we look in the mirror or how terrible we feel? That is your body screaming to be conditioned, to be cleaned from all of the bad food we have put into it and the atrophic state we have left it in.

The hardest part is taking that first step - the jog around the block or the first workout session at the gym. Once you get your blood pumping and your heart pounding, you realize how bad your body needed this. Then you do it again, only this time harder and faster, you begin to build a routine that works your body to it's limits and breaks through those limits. You begin to feel a mental clarity and an inner serenity after your workouts, and you start to crave that. You think back and realize it all started with a single step and you can't imagine how you even functioned before.

The only one keeping you from getting there is you.

Truth needs no validation because it is self-evident and undeniable. Therefore, anything that requires validation to be realized or justified as truth must contain at least some degree of falsehood.

Running is great, I run at least 3 times a week. It really helps in getting the blood oxygenated and opening your third eye. Getting out in nature is a big fueler of the body, mind and soul. I walk through the woods weekly and it really helps in opening your third eye to see things you would normally pass by and not take the time to look at and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you.

The mind fuels the body.
 Quoting: M1.618

You missed the whole point of this thread. I have never seen anyone think themselves into shape. For someone who is unhealthy, who is overweight, eats unhealthy foods, and never exercises, their mind is corrupted with self-doubt and depression. In this state or in any state, you cannot think yourself into a new way of living. You have to force yourself to do what your mind and body do not want to do. As you get into shape, your mind follows suit and your depression and self-doubt are replaced with confidence and optimism. Your will to accomplish things grows stronger, and you see that through pushing your body through atrophy, you cleansed your mind and spirit as well.

OP: ummm, not quite.

In fact, it goes this way: "the soul rules the mind and the mind rules the body."

To clarify: if you follow your inner edicts faithfully and without question you will not be faced with a body that disappoints and needing correction. It is your spirit itself [the soul, if you will] that dictates the direction your life will take and this includes your thought processes and bodily functions.

Esoteric, I know! But remarkably easy to accept -and utilize- once you give it a try!

Good:
Vegetables
Seafood
Poultry
Fruits
(in that order, some people have fructose issues)

Bad:
Anything with gluten or sugar in it. Agave, Splenda, Stevia - they are all bad. All sugar is bad. Consume only sugar with fruits as they have vitamins. And honey is anti-inflammatory.

Try to avoid:
Legumes
Red meat
Dairy
Processed food

I was speaking about those whose mind and spirit are suffering, and it is manifested in the health of their body. Granted, the softening of the mind and spirit go before the body follows suit, but improving the body also improves the mind and spirit the other way around. However, if someone accepts their physical health when they are leading an unhealthy lifestyle, then they are in denial of their ailments and have essentially given up. Ignoring a problem and pretending it does not exist does not help anyone, and refusing to acknowledge the problem only makes it worse.

Re: The Body Fuels The Mind
OP: wrong again. I told you it was esoteric, so here's a further explanation...

Your spirit decides your ultimate pathway and this cannot be changed until the current lifecycle is completed and another begins. A simplified definition would be wheel of kharmic compensation that slowly turns a soul from the base to the divine. That's precisely why some people are doomed to live their lives in abject poverty, misery, poor health or a deranged mind.

While it's possible to lose 300lbs of excess body fat or rebuild an atrophied musculature, the mind/body influence can only go so far in achieving positive changes. And if you think you can change the natural, preordained course that was set by your soul at life's entrance you are only fooling yourself.

So does the spirit, fuel the mind. Most look away and only focus on the communications feed from the body (sensuality).

The mind fuels the body.

Yes. Go sit with yourself for a couple of hours. Better yet a couple of days.

OBSERVE the mind.

That has much more to do with the body than exercise and diet.

We control the body to control the mind. A lot of people say exercise for example calms the mind and it might for a little while but then we are back to all of the madness that is usually is. To calm the mind is to master the self. To master the self is to master the temple that houses the heart (which is the body).

This is all going to become very exciting here very soon when we talk about immortality.. etc... What we are truly capable of when it comes to the physical form.

Re: The Body Fuels The Mind
Try this experiment for your self:
1) Think strongly that you are feeling sick like you are dizzy and within an hour or so, you're actually feeling dizzy and want throw-up.
2) Now think strongly that you are feeling very healthy and active, that should restore normal status.

Re: The Body Fuels The Mind
Moving in slower pace is essential for the well-being of the soul. Look at the fast-walking people in big cities like NY. They are constantly stressed and unhappy. Buddhist monks usually move slowly, experiencing things fully. When you wash your hands don't do it in a rush, try to experience the feel of water on your hands and enjoy every second of it. Do it mindfully and calmly.
