Quoting: synchro What color was it? What did it smell like? Did it shave better than shaving cream? I listened to an audio book recently that described the product briefly and the famous roadside signs that were so popular (especially on two-lane highways) many years ago. Very much like Barbasol or Gillette Foamy is today. Menthol smell as I recall. No better or worse than any alternative products. But one must remember most of us who shaved used a brush and soap in a mug, we made our own lather so things like Burma shave were a new and novel way to lather up. It was shaving "cream" instead of "shaving soap". There is nothing quite as compelling as a bad idea whose time has come... Thulsa |
