Re: Is Jupiter the bright morning star?
Its confusing..

Here it is mentioned in scriptures..

They will have the same authority I received from my Father, and I will also give them the morning star!

And here too...

I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.

Re: Is Jupiter the bright morning star?
And here it is mentioned about the planet Venus..

Venus was known to ancient civilizations both as the "morning star" and as the "evening star", names that reflect the early assumption that these were two separate objects. The Venus tablet of Ammisaduqa, dated 1581 BCE, shows the Babylonians understood the two were a single object, referred to in the tablet as the "bright queen of the sky", and could support this view with detailed observations.

Re: Is Jupiter the bright morning star?
Yup, Venus. The Destroyer of Worlds. The comet that was ejected from the planet Jupiter about 4500 years ago, wrecked havoc all over the solar system, and finally settled into a regular orbit 2500 years ago and became a planet, according to Emmanuel Velikovsky.

Yes, it's Venus, although Jupiter can be a bright star in the morning or evening.

Re: Is Jupiter the bright morning star?
I don't think Jesus was talking about giving you a planet.

When Jesus said he was the root and offspring of David, he was using a spiritual analogy.

The star analogy was in the same vein.

David was peaceful and humble shepherd, who was enflamed to make war by the appearance of evil.

All the "stars" of Israel failed in the face of Goliath, but it made David burn all the brighter.

If you receive the Holy Spirit, you will receive the morning star, the last and brightest "star", when the spirits of others fail in the face of evil.

Like David, you won't fail because God will fight for you.

But remember that this star only appears when all other stars have failed.

The morning star does not compete with other stars for attention and glory.
