I think she might inform you that it began long long before Bush. Quoting: PACNWguyFirst of all, I noticed that you dodged my question, quite apparently because you are indeed too cowardly to fight for your rights. Second, have you noticed that despite America's crusade against the Middle East the people over there still have NO MEANS to attack American soil? Again, I can see the cowardice in your logic....you act like you are going to fight against the Muslims once they parachute into suburbia like in Red Dawn. I got a news flash for ya buddy - the terrorists ARE attacking America and its freedoms....and they are WINNING because nobody wants to force them out of office. COGITO, ERGO, SUM |

So the question remains, if a 2/3 majority of the people out there don't want this shit, why are they letting the minority get away with it? Democracy? I'd say its not the government's fault if and when democracy fails, but rather those citizens who fail in their democratic duty that shoulder the responsibility. You can't have the rights of citizenship without some serious responsibilities. |

I will make you a deal.. We can stop the war right now... but we also stop all the things that the majority of people do not want anymore... things like welfare and affirmative action... things like the mexican invasion... and poor public school systems. See the problem yet? Number one, democracy is majority rules.. number two.. the US is not a democracy... number three.. WHITE FOLKS are the majority and in a democracy.. they can vote themselves all the rights and vote away rights for other groups.. Want that? Becareful what you ask for.. you just might get it. |

I have voted in every election since I was 18. I voted for Ronald Reagan. I voted for Ross Perot because I thought George HB Bush was full of shit. I learned a valuable lesson that voting for Perot put Clinton in office, so I vowed never again to be swayed like that. Voted for Dole, Bush and Bush. Most of the problems we are facing is becasue Clinton did not do shit about them, he jsut passed them off to the next guy. Classic politician. Korea, problem for the nexy guy, bin laden, problem for the nexy guy, energy policy, problem for the nexy guy. My point is, had some of those problems been addressed, we might not be at war now. If you don't like what you see, go vote, get involved. That is the American way. To just give up now would be a disaster. Do you think the muslims would just leave us alone? If you do, that is very niave and dangerously stupid. |

In what way is staying put (and continuing to put American servicemen and -women at risk) better than pulling out? "the muslims"??? I thought we were at "war" with terrorists (a few thousand people, worldwide, many of whom happen to be muslims). Are we at war with a billion people now? We certainly don't need a "war with muslims". We don't even need a "war" with terrorists. We need aggressive police work coordinated with other nations, with the occasional military-grade SWAT team when going up against heavily-armed concentrations of bad guys. Sitting quietly, doing nothing, spring comes and the grass grows by itself. Hey! I'm a Zen Master! And I thought I was just lazy. |

Yes, I ignored your question just like you ignored every question asked of you. I will not confirm or deny where I was born, where I currently reside, or who I work for as it would likely bias one's opinion quite a bit. Since some people on GLP are dishonest, it is generally better to judge someone based on what they say rather than who they are. Still, I feel that you oppose freedom since you support a president who hates freedom so much. “I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.” “Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.” “Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!” COGITO, ERGO, SUM |

The "Blame Clinton" mantra just seems a bit empty these days. Afterall, Clinton inherited troops in Saudi Arabia from Bush I and their presence has been cited as the core reason for Islamic anger at the US over the last 15 years. Clinton also inherited a different Korea, before KJI took control. All President's inherit "something" that was left undone or partially approached. Or they themselves undo something from a predecessor's tenure which later bites us in the rear end. Energy is a prime example of this as a great deal of our current energy woes can be traced back to Regan's undoing of the energy policy that Jimmy Carter began to implement before he left office. The next President will also face a financial crisis that was due to Bush II's undoing of Clinton's financial reforms. |
