Well that is my plan. Just getting by day one seems to be a bit of a challenge. But, I'm determine to get this shit off my back.

That is my biggest problem - I am a functioning alcoholic. I am on the edge everyday - I don't want to lose my family and work - and I am stepping all over it most every day.

I don't want to hit bottom - though that's what they say I need to do.

I desperately want to stay on top of this and kill the beast that haunts me before it gets the upper hand.

Edit to add: ...maybe it all ready has and I just don't know it yet.

Weed is clearly an answer; but, at my age and income difficult to get.

I quit weed a week ago and soda.. I used to drink 2-3 sodas a day and smoke weed with tobacco for 10 years.. I quit it cold turkey.. I'm having withdrawal symptoms.. Sweats ,shakes , insomnia , anxiety.. Just feel like a different person.. For alcohol I don't recommend quitting cold turkey its bad for your heart. You need to take small steps.
