I wasn't going to read this past the first sentence, but....I did. That is one tough year! Shedding a few tears for you. Had one of those years some time ago, and all you can do is take one day at a time. Remember to eat, and healthy. Also do your homework, not everyone has to die, homeopathic remedies may help.

Accept help from friends, which I guess is what you're doing here, so that is good.

You have a husband AND a daughter? You already have all the help you need. You may want dad to live longer....but if he's ready to move on, be happy for him and don't be so clingy. I hope he does last longer (if he wants to be here).....heart conditions are usually an easy fix for hospitals these days.

Life is a cycle hun...we come, we go.....you may want to look into your family history (ancestry).....so you can come to terms with what has been and what will be. You don't need prayers...you need perspective. Much love to you in your hours of fear. But I think...we don't die...just open the door to another dimension.

I lost my father in 1987 to cancer and a subsequent heart attack, after having recently lost my Grandmothers, and then a few years later I lost my best friend to suicide. Along the way I have suffered many gains and losses including my own health issues ruining my career as a chef and harming my career as a musician. There have been times when it seemed I wouldn't be able to handle it and that I would just give up because at every moment of healing a new grief would come. But eventually I came to realize that this is how our lives are and that we must never give up because of grief. it is so painful because of how much you love your father, and I commend you for reaching out and asking for prayers. It is so painful because of how much you love your family and your friends and I think that speaks so highly of you that you are so wounded because only in these wounds do we realize the true nature of our love for others. I am shedding a tear for you and I will pray that this message can be even slightly helpful.

Do not give in to despair but know that there are millions, even billions that share this painful grief.....and yet we move on because that is what your father and your loved ones would want as well my father and my loved ones. I have some heart issues and so I can relate pretty well. I'll be praying that your dad pulls through.

I have read each and every one of the replies on here. I love and appreciate them all. I am doing much better today. Thank you all so much cause I truly credit all of your prayers and I feel God has given me support. (I had a very long talk with God last night. Lol) My inner strength has returned. I am the hospital contact now and giving my family all the updates. My Dad is currently stable. An Electrologist is coming today to test his pacemaker. Trying to determine if it's the pacemaker, his heart, or both. Once we get those answers then the treatment team can make a plan. Thank you each and every one of you!!! Your words of encouragement have been extremely uplifting!!!!! And I appreciate that so many of you have responded, because I admit it is very difficult for me to ever ask for help.
