Fired Fox employee kills himself at News Corp HQ, says network 'ruined his life' and posts videos

Even though, this guy is a nutbag... Somthing tells me his recordings have damaging potential to FOX. They will be gone by morning.

perhaps. but suicides have risen 30% in my age
group (50+) because the workplace has become
immensely hostile to people who actually focus
on work. It's much more about image and being
full of shit and "social" now. People,
particularly right-wingers, like to blab a
lot about "productivity" but people who
are skilled and productivity are resented
in today's America, not rewarded.

I often wonder what would happen if those
extra 10K suicides per year picked up guns
instead of killing themselves. But another
factor of age is that you realize the
inevitability of societies failings, and
that killing small, petty people solves
nothing.

I listened to every video. And it seems to me the guy had a point. Unfortunately he took the easy way out...but then again...this story would have never hit GLP if he hadn't topped himself off.

He could have went postal and killed all the people who "bullied" him.

yes, I've seen this at every company I've been at
for the past seven years. America isn't about
producing stuff anymore, it's about political
infighting.

I thought quite a bit about suicide over the
past couple of years. The workplace has
become an evil place for non-political
people who simply want to show up
and do their job, particularly
if you're smart and motivated.

other people resent you,
sabotage you,
slander you.

and after a few years,
you see it over and over again
and realize the truth about people,
that most people are small and petty,
and that there's not much chance
of a change
under the current situation,
which is more about destroying people
than building stuff.

only liars and cheaters can prosper
in this system
and so most people fall into that behavior,
and justify it to themselves...

"I was only following orders".

Im still in awe of these recordings.. Its like being able to hear first hand, a schizophrenic man, being saturated and assaulted by the cold hand of corporate media.

Both speaking in their own language.. Both struggling for their acknowledgement of superiority in the eyes of the other.. Both fools.

This is why workplace bullying need to be taken care of seriously

Maybe I've just been really unlucky, but it's been this way since at least the mid 90s from my perspective.

I'll say there a chance he was murdered, but covered up as a suicide.

The man spent all that herculean effort trying to prove himself "right", rather than to help others.

Sadly, he was focused entirely upon himself. Not in a "selfish", ie, 'look at me, I am great' narcissistic way, but in the way of a person who does not understand how others function or perceive him, ie in a detached, disconnected "aspbergers" type way.

Such people are born that way, hard wired that way. With effort, willingness and good coaching they can work and achieve a greater sense of interaction and involvement with other people. Their lives can become better once they realize their way of interacting with the world can be bettered.

The guy was a classic "Collector of Resentments". A textbook case. They spiral ever inwards. They polish up and focus on every real or imagined slight by others. They dwell upon these slights, and magnify these misunderstandings.

Aspbergers type people do not inherently understand or pick up on nuances of how others read facial expressions and tone of voice. They miss out on non-linear, nonverbal, unspoken communication.

He honestly may not have perceived how the picture of the police chief looked goofy -- because the deceased was the kind of person who could not pick up on facial expressions as communication!!!

We are very, very fortunate that the deceased did not kill others.

BUT I believe that he took the passive aggressive way out because he thought that it would vindicate him, and prove him right and others wrong -- and not through any compassion or humane impulse.

He tried to make himself the ultimate victim of others.

He became, instead, the ultimate textbook case of how potentially dangerous a classic "Collector of Resentments" employee can become -- both to himself, and potentially -- to others.

We are fortunate that he left such a concise compendium of his career.

All of us can learn from this: Employers, coworkers, and family members, of people who go down this path.

the company has an agenda its a corporate and political agenda.

This reporter reported the news as it was but fox wanted him to report it from an angle that favours the agenda

that's the way it is all news outlets do this only 3 days ago I read about a cancer victim fighting a court battle over his mortgage lost his house to bailiffs all the news portrayed him as a cancer patient who couldn't pay his mortgage but the truth is way more sinister I found a facebook group about it from the horses mouth and guess what

turns out he had paid his mortgage for 25 years in its entirety

the bank changed the status of his mortgage after 12 years without telling him so after the 25 he thought his policy was paid only to find out he wasn't paying an endowment mortgage but an interest tracker and he still apparently owed then 45k ... his house was only 43k to begin with when he bout it in 1988 .. the mainstream news outlets mentioned nothing of this ... so yea I sympathise with the employee there is an agenda

this clarifies things. The young man who committed suicide was definitely driven into it by the constant set ups he experienced by management, in my opinion. The appeals court, by throwing the reporters case out, said that news channels do not have to tell the truth. These news channel are advertisers, propaganda mills and offer no new at all unless petty. Thats why so many people have stopped reading papers, watching the propaganda called 'news' on tv and are resorting to the internet to seek alternative news.

This country is like soviet russia when TASS was the propaganda paper of the day. The Russian people knew everything was a lie or biased and they said that they learned to read between the lines,

The young man who killed himself knew he would not work again in tv news after fox news; he cared deeply about his career and was young enough and naive enough to believe in fairness. The seasoned, older and more realistic reporters who tried to get their Monsanto story out were hardened enough and aware enough to fight back with all their tools of experience. But even then, after initially winning, the corporate owned courts threw out the initial ruling in favor of the monster corporation. So the reporters proved how useless "NEWS" reporting in America is. The poor kid with his whole heart and soul in his job, and his honor and pride in being a good journals, was destroyed under the machinations of the third rate propaganda channel.

Rest in Peace young idealistic journalist.

If he didnt like where he worked he should have looked for another job, not bitch about how things are on a public website. He could have been sued by FOX for filming without permission.
