In 2015 we are still entrenched in the endless fighting in the Middle East and beyond only this time it is directed at Sunni Muslims, which historically have been the more moderate of the two. There was little backlash over the movie Aladdin at the time of it's release and looking back that seems strange. It was not until later that certain lyrics in the soundtrack came under fire for being Anti-Muslim. If Disney had released Aladdin in 2015 instead of 1992 would it be the blockbuster it was then or would it be considered Anti-Muslim propaganda? Do you think it would have received a similar treatment as the "Benghazi video" or more specifically "The Interview?" What say you, GLP? I didn't mean to do that...or did I? |
