Quoting: Life and Love I'll go first to illustrate what I'm talking about: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, vthat it may bear more fruit." (John 15:1-2) Even though I as a branch (more like a twig!) may bear fruit, the fruit that I bear is not my own but belongs to the Father. Care to share your own examples? i think this actually has to do with God changing and improving us through our experiences, and perhaps can mitigate some anxiety about lost opportunities or mistakes as they were the means by which we were pruned. |

The means by which we can perfect ourselves is never fully explained, except that Jesus was that means. I say this as a Christian. I think he must have said more. |
