The New Covenant is given only after Shavuot is fulfilled. It is the Feast that the Two Witness will fulfill. It is a prophecy given to us from three prophets, Paul quoted Jeremiah. However, Ezekiel and Isaiah spoke about it to. The part in Ezekiel has to happen first. Jeremiah comes second, and lastly Isaiah.

I hit "Post" twice and it showed up twice, so I changed the text in the second one to "double post" vs leaving it blank.

Passover is the story of our salvation. Paul tells us this in his letters to the church in Corinth. Yahushua is our Passover and Unleavened Bread, observe this Feast.

Would you like for me to show you how YHWH sets up the story of Passover in Genesis?

i think this actually has to do with God changing and improving us through our experiences, and perhaps can mitigate some anxiety about lost opportunities or mistakes as they were the means by which we were pruned.

I like that.

There's a great book by Wayne Jacobsen called "In Season" that takes us through the seasons of Christian living as they correspond to the agricultural seasons of the vineyard. (The author's father had a large vineyard in southern California from which examples are drawn.)

essentially Jesus tells us to be perfect and then relates through parable that God is all around us and working through us, trying to produce good souls as though he were an agriculturalist. The means by which we can perfect ourselves is never fully explained, except that Jesus was that means. I say this as a Christian. I think he must have said more.

Writing in those days was terribly time consuming and difficult, so only the most succinct summaries were ever written down in my opinion.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have the unabridged version?

I don't have it per se, but I do have the Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls) and Nag Hammadi material.

I started to research them when I came across an article about Mary Magdalene.

Ah yes. From all I've read, she was quite a remarkable woman!

They talk abut her more in the gnostic text I have noticed. I find it funny that what I was taught is that she was a prostitute and that's far from the truth.

The Catholic church definitely did her wrong. Even without the gnostic material, the biblical canon makes a strong case that Jesus thought highly of her. For example, she was on of the first evangelists (along with other unlikely candidates like the Samaritan woman at the well, the Ethiopian eunuch, and the man out of whom Jesus cast the Legion.)

I think they picked and chose who they wanted to talk about. They left all else out. It was one of the main reason I had to rethink everything I was taught.
