Guess the Pope has half a brain unlike most religtards.

So the church writes a paper? No offense, but so what? If they're going to invest funds in research, it's their money, let them do what they want.

As to "impact", for example, in the U.S? I'd refer you to previous encyclicals on things like birth control. Yeah, that went over really well...

And their policy on abortion vs. how women here treat their reproductive "rights"?

Just because the pope writes something in an encyclical does not mean that it's a dogma of the church.

The pope's every fart, burp, and itch are not infallible or a matter of dogma. There are certain conditions that have to be met for him to be speaking infallibly (intent, audience, and he can only be speaking on matters of faith and morals). For something to be dogma requires either that the pope speak ex cathedra on the matter (and he can't in this case) or for an ecumenical council to declare it dogma, and that's not likely to happen.

In NONE of those three links can I find that exact info. In none of those links does it mention, for example: dogma. Nor do any mention: excommunication.

Would love to know how you came up with the "breaking news" that you have reported.

Doing a search online, the ONLY mention of your "breaking news" is a search link for a post over at LOP, posted just a few minutes prior to this one. And whaddya know, this post is an EXACT word for word copy of that post.
