NO contraception, no dole – that’s the view of an ex-Labor Minister who believes welfare should be linked to compulsory contraception.

Years ago in the state of Indiana, you had to be on birth control to get welfare, and if you got pregnant while on welfare, your benefits were not increased.

THIS is what they need to be doing, for sure.

People shouldn't be popping out more that they can't support.

The only problem I see is that it that there are so many people blinded by the ridiculousness of religious dogma regarding contraception that they will simply not seek out assistance and keep popping out kids, kids who will suffer through the ignorance of their parents.

It's a sad situation.

I mean, you can't expect society to keep supporting those in poverty who keep creating MORE who will surely be in poverty as well, but at the same time do you just let these children starve to death because their parents were too ignorant to stop procreating?

As for the drug test for welfare recipients, while a good idea in theory, they tend to be really costly and most people pass, so you are actually paying out MORE public funds for no real gain.

If anyone needs to be drug tested, it's those in politics.

As i said it will piss lot of people off.

I think we still have the baby bonus here

5 K. I think this encourages people to have more kids
If you can't afford to support a family don't start.

A lot of families with 4-6 kids never worked a day.
