When I think of the concept of world peace, I immediately think of John Lennon. He had a great message in 'Imagine'.

And Ringo as my fav drummer, back in the day..

-------

The Beatles - Greatest Hits (playlist at link)

starting with 'Let It Be'.......

Re: For Beatles Fans only- What do you think each one would be most remembered for, as their part of the Fab Four?
It depends on your personal mindset,

for me;

John --> revolutionary, wanted the utopia that all dreamers seek, had the guts & gumption to write & perform very good songs about his dream. Went strangely silent for about half a decade, made a comeback with lame, insipid songs (I personally think Yokos songs had more character!) and was mysteriously shot dead for no apparent reason.

The killing had all the hallmarks of a "MK-Ultra" style hit. Was he told to be quiet & then whacked when he dared to write & sing again?

Paul --> great showman, wrote some good songs.

George --> mediocre talent, was largely ignored as a Beatle (in the end days), so when the Beatles split up, he had a treasure trove of quite good songs to release as a solo artist.

Ringo --> very lucky guy who wasn't even good enough as a studio drummer, his tracks were substituted without his knowledge in the end, was quite despondent when he clued in to this.

My ex girlfriend said her grandfather went & saw the Beatles when they were quite small potatoes, said he looked behind a curtain behind the stage & a guy was standing there banging a drum in basic 2/2 time so they could all keep in rhythm.

Might be bs, cool story (bro?) lol

Yeah, cool story indeed, the part about John going quiet for a while was that his whole world was his little boy, which John played the stay at home dad..... his songs after that reflected a down to earth love of his loves

George is the toughest for me personally. But the dance solo definitely seals the deal.

And Paul? What can I say about Paul that hasn't already been said? Although, I heard that jam on Alice Cooper's show a ways back and I'm still not sick of it even yet. Plus, he's kind of on his own a little bit more now.
Cheers.
