Thought you all might be interested in these stories. No holding bodies for investigation, lets get them buried asap! Tears streamed down their faces as I type this. No autopsy before burial, apparently, and mass funeral services.

AirAsia flight QZ8501: First victim positively identified as Surabaya teacher

Disaster Victim Identification crews have positively identified victim 001 of AirAsia's crashed flight QZ8501.

Hayati Lutfiah Hamid, 47, an elementary school teacher from Surabaya, was travelling to Singapore for a holiday with her daughter, husband and mother-in-law when the plane crashed with 162 people on board on December 28.

Shortly after the positive identification, an ambulance backed up to the police morgue in Surabaya,...and Ms Hayati's body and possessions were handed over first to AirAsia chief executive Sunu Widyatmoko, who handed them directly to Ms Hayati's family.

At that moment, the heavens opened and rain belted down as two female relatives stood pouring tears at the rear of the police station. They were comforted by the mayor of Surabaya, Tri Rismaharini.

Ms Hayati was buried at a nearby Muslim cemetery before sundown with more than a hundred neighbours in attendance.

Police disaster investigation chief Budiyono announced late on Thursday that a meeting of forensic experts had made the positive identification of Ms Hayati based on fingerprint evidence, as well as items of jewellery and identity documents found on the body.

Attempts to positively identify body 002 - a young man - have so far failed.

Surabaya administration to provide special funeral services for AirAsia victims

Surabaya Mayor Tri Rismaharini says the city administration has prepared special mass funeral services and a cremation area with the capacity of 80 bodies at the Adi Jasa Funeral Home for AirAsia flight QZ8501 victims.

Who are all these nut jobs making up garbage about numbers and dates and that bodies and other stuff found are fake?

Seriously!!!

This is an air crash. Nothing more, nothing less. Lives were lost, lives have been impacted.

Show some respect for those that lost their lives and some sympathy for those that have lost loved ones.

Agree with that, but very odd how this part of the World is having some "very bad luck" when it comes to plane crashes.
