Quoting: Stoned Goddess More of the same shit we've already seen, but we must keep spreading the word about these sadistic pricks. If we taxpayers are paying for a "Dog Catcher", what are the Police doing sticking their noses into Dog-Catching business? Is this "Double Dipping?", in that wehave to pay the Police Dept. for that and again the Police Dept. for it? Same way with ambulance: why do the Police have to show up everytime an ambulance is called? Also why are arrests all winding up with a need for ambulance and hospital care? Isnot this rather expensive for the Taxpayer. Can the police do their job without causing the tax payer Double Dipping coming from ambulance drivers and hospitals and doctores and nurses and and and lawyers and judges and courts and and and where is all this massive survices leading ?!?!?!?!? HHHHEEEEEELLLLP iam running out of money to live, because of the TAXES ! ! ! ! |

The cities/counties pay out a lot of taxpayers money in numerous settlements before they get to court so that the public never hears about most of them. This one got some publicity though but there are countless others we don't even know our tax money went to. |

At least there's some accountability but why on earth wouldn't the officers have been punished? Oh they say it was due to a "lack of training". Didn't realize a person needed training for common sense and basic humanity. I used to be an animal control officer for several years. The best training just comes from being a dog owner yourself. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that even agitated, aggressive dogs often will follow commands such "No! Sit!", etc. And scared, confused dogs such as in the video can be controlled by softly talking to them using words such as "good dog", "It's o.k.", etc. And scared, shy dogs will most likely even come to you if you kneel down to their level and call them. The funniest call I ever went on to assist a cop with two "vicious" pit bulls was an early morning call where someone had fled the police & left his dogs in the car. When I got there the cop was standing by his car about 30 feet from the other vehicle. The dogs barked when I walked up to the car. So I softly said, "Do you have to potty? Come on, let's go pee-pee." Haha, they both started wagging their tails and I opened the door, leashed them up and took them over to an area with dirt. Boy, did they have to go, poor guys. They were happy & I loaded them into my truck. The cop was speechless! Luckily, for those two we held them in pc after the owner was picked up & went to jail. After a couple of weeks a family member came to get them. But I think a big problem some cops have is that dogs can sense their fear. The main thing is to not show fear of them. |

Looks like he's got a wound right behind his front right leg. A few kind words and a bit of food they could have handled that dog easily. He wasn't aggressive in any way. After a couple of weeks a family member came to get them. But I think a big problem some cops have is that dogs can sense their fear. The main thing is to not show fear of them. That's a great perspective and I thank you for sharing it. You are so right when it comes to animals!! It's not hard to control them with some simple commands, essentially what it comes down to is the energy that they feel from said command. That's what they react to. And that's why they dislike/bark at police, because they can sense their tension. Their impatience. Their hostility towards society in general. I just think of it like this. There are hundreds of animal rescue organizations out there who are able to capture and rehabilitate even the most aggressive dogs. They do this without packing. A gun is simply not necessary, even with the most basic of skills. This is as common as knowledge gets, so what it comes down to is pure corruption. There's no excuse. I've personally exposed myself to feral pit bulls and with the correct energy, lured them into a life of love that they would have never known otherwise. And this is not something I have been taught. It's my basic instinct; it comes with merely being human, and I can't imagine being any other way. By the way, bless you JW. You saved many dogs lives that would otherwise been ended out of convenience, ignorance, and false sense of security. Last Edited by Stoned Goddess on 12/26/2014 11:21 PM :smokin1: |

As somebody who almost lost his arm to a dog bite...there is justification in killing a dog to protect a human life! Had the dog bitten somebody? Did they need to test it for rabies or something? Had the dog KILLED somebody? Where is the owner in all of this? Was this dog just running around a neighborhood and menacing people? What is the rest of the story?! I won't just pass judgment on the cops...I don't know the whole story! |
