I'm not going to pick up someone else's slack anymore. I can't work with someone who frequently calls in sick, is never at their desk. And when she is here, she's on fucking facebook or youtube. But when she does something that could be considered actual work, get ready for her to make a huge production out of it and announce it to the whole office. :smokin1: |

One dude was a master at not working, He worked very hard at not working. I tried for a year to get something done about it. Nothing was done. I gave 2 week notice and the next day the boss asked me to do the slacker's work. I said no and if you don;t like it, you can walk me out the door right now. He walked me out literally 1 minute after I fired off an mail to his boss explaining the situatio . A week later, the boss man was replaced. I am much happier now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52883263 Good for you, that's a spitting image of my situation. Supervisors (one in particular) turn the other cheek and totally ignore it. This *stellar* employee blatantly declined to take one of her phone calls last Friday because she was busy socializing. She did it right in front of the Sup and branch manager and they did nothing. I said, "so you want me to tell them you just don't feel like taking your calls then?" out loud and they all just pretended I wasn't even there. I also get emails from people who have emailed her numerous times already with no response. She has asked me to cover for her in the past when she called in, which I immediately told my supervisor what she was up to and pointed out she was actively posting on facebook with her daughter when she was supposedly "sick". My former manager back then said "we have to get rid of her" but not only did they not get rid of her, they gave her a promotion AND a raise. :smokin1: |

It does! But I've never worked in a place that doesn't fire people like this. I can handle the women drama and yes there's always going to be people you don't like... that's FINE. But I've never seen a company hold on to someone who was so counter-productive. That's not the company I want to be a part of. :smokin1: |

I've seen this phenomenon at every place I've ever worked. I can't fully explain it. Some people say that they need the people who do a good job to stay at their post. The people who do $hitty jobs get promoted because their previous position wasn't challenging enough for them. BS. It's all office politics and popularity contests and butt kissing marathons. |
