Damned, that's got to be a bitch of a thing to go through. At any rate, she'll be alright. Any possible problems that result will be cosmetic I think.

The vast majority of women who have such surgery do it for health reasons. Breasts that are too large can cause painful back problems.

We believe in the power of prayer, and it is wonderful to know that so many people across the globe have spared a caring, heartfelt thought.

As some have said, the reduction was necessary due to back/spine problems. She's a relatively small-framed young lady and her breasts were so heavy that she was in constant pain.

She's been using a chiropractor for years, to help with spinal realignment and to correct frequent rib displacement. Her shoulders were beginning to be noticeably "rounded" so it was obviously affecting her posture, making the spine problems worse...etc etc a vicious cycle.

Insurance finally deemed the reduction a medical necessity, thank goodness!

She isn't freaking out, she's a very down-to-earth girl & not vain in the least...so the possible cosmetic effect of a lost nipple isn't ruining her life.

She knows that in the big scheme of things it's not a catastrophe.

But I love her. We all love her. We don't want her to go through that simply because we love her.

And that is why I asked for prayers and healing thoughts for her...because it helps, because like many of you I never turn down a request for healing prayer, because I know that many people here are willing to pray for others, and because I know God hears us when we ask for help for others.

I appreciate it so much. So does she.

So far, so good...I'll let y'all know when she gets the final "all clear!"

My daughter went to her check-up Friday as scheduled.

While there was no real change for the better, it wasn't any worse than it was on Tues.

She sees him again on Monday. We're hoping & praying for the best!

I'm amazed at her sense of humor about the whole thing...
she's cracking jokes about what kind of "nurple" she'll choose if they can't get this to heal. ie, cow teat, pig nurple, etc.


Yeah, our family has a sick sense of humor.
