Eleven-15,

I can't tell you how sorry I am. I lost my husband a few years ago, and while I realize it is not the same, I hope you find as I did that it gets easier. I don't even want to reflect on how painful the first months were.

Please take care, and know that you are in people's thoughts and prayers.

This would be a great idea. I have utterly no idea how to do it, could you ask a mod? or maybe someone already knows.

there was the lovely thread about the girl who needed a trumpet, did not save the thread, but she got her trumpet via GLP and was able to post a photo of herself holding it and playing it.

Re: 12/19/2014
I have just seen this thread. I too lost the only daughter that I will ever have in this world a long time ago in 1984, she was only about a year and a half old, just learning how to talk and being active. She was a heart disease patient, very serious condition.
When she passed, due to surgery that she never returned from, I was devastated. I thought my whole world and every purpose I ever had was now gone. I said to myself, I am her father, I let her down. I slipped into a vast depression. I saw no purpose in going to work because it was a "serve the people" job. How could I do that? I could not solve my own pain. I was in a complete fog for over 18 months. I intended to do things, but I could not remember. Simple things like shaving or forgetting equipment for work that was necessary. Fortunately I had understanding people at work, who let me have time to get back into shape.
I tell you now, this is the turning point for you. Your pain will never leave you but you do have a chance. Use this event to come closer to God, to your remaining loved ones, and be of one word "Be..Kind". Become that person who has a sword through their heart, and sees the pain that others don't notice in people, and treat them with kindness. Soon, you will be able to cope with life again, it will take time and the memories will flood back every now and then and you will get down, but you will have a gift that others can't understand. You will know the pain and suffering of the human race, because you suddenly realize what is really important. Those who you deal with on that one to one basis will see the care that is in you and will know you are for real. Ask God to help you to understand. He revealed this path to me. Love is what is lacking in this world most of all. You now know it to be true, because when it is taken away, a void is all that seems to be left. Brother, Sister, who ever you are, I love and pray for you at this moment. God bless you!

I lost my 2nd husband 7 years ago... and I too posted it here... it is strange but we do feel some connection to those faceless people who we read their words daily.

There are GREAT souls here even though there are many opinions about our world.

I am happy so many people are here to send support... ever little bit helps during these very sad times.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sending my deepest prayers and thoughts to you. I cannot imagine a loss like yours.

Many comforting hugs sent your way.....

When I Die

When I die,
when my coffin
is being taken out,
you must never think
I am missing this world.

Don't shed any tears,
don't lament or
feel sorry
I'm not falling
into a monster's abyss.

When you see
my corpse is being carried,
don't cry for my leaving
I'm not leaving,
I'm arriving at eternal love.

When you leave me
in the grave,
don't say goodbye.
Remember a grave is
only a curtain
for the paradise behind.

You'll only see me
descending into a grave.
Now watch me rise
how can there be an end
when the sun sets or
the moon goes down.

It looks like the end
it seems like a sunset,
but in reality it is a dawn
when the grave locks you up
that is when your soul is freed.

Have you ever seen
a seed fallen to earth
not rise with a new life?
Why should you doubt the rise
of a seed named human?

Have you ever seen
a bucket lowered into a well
coming back empty?
Why lament for a soul
when it can come back
like Joseph from the well.

When for the last time
you close your mouth,
your words and soul
will belong to the world of
no place no time.

Does that sound hard?

I've never been so close to anyone that I would miss them, so mourning for the dead never made any sense to me.

My sincere sympathies to you, Eleven-15.

While I've lost those who were very near and dear to me, I can't even imagine the pain of losing your own child.

What helps to keep me going is knowing that these partings are only temporary. There is a Great Reunion coming which will be the most joyful day in the history of the universe. You will see you daughter again, and from that moment on, the word "goodbye" will no longer be needed. In the Kingdom of God, all the pain, sorrow and madness of this world will be gone and forgotten, never to be experienced again.

Truly, a day to look forward to!

In our tears and heartbreak we grieve. Forgetting life is only a fraction of eternal life. Tears will come, heartbreak will happen. But fear not, for her life is just beginning with a joy and love we do not yet know.

I am sorry for your loss.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. We lost my nephew the first part of the month, and it just feels like someone has punched you in the gut and it is like a bad dream that you cannot wake up from.

This has been a heart wrenching holiday season this year. I will put your family in my prayers.

God bless you and your daughter. She will be fine but it is to miss her and weep for now.

I am so terribly sorry to hear this. I will keep you and your family in prayer for strength.

I wish I could tell you that time heals all wounds, but it does not. Time lessons the sting but the wound will forever leave a scar.
My mom lost 4 of her 8 children and her first husband also died of cancer when he was 24 years young. All of this she went through by the time she was 23 years old. I've seen what a heart truly suffers when a mother loses her child, after all we are supposed to go first. Sometimes God has other plans .
I cannot imagine, as a Mother what you must be experiencing both emotionally and physically. Please know that you have a GLP family that loves deep and prays hard and very much cares about people and what they endure. I wish I could wrap my arms around your neck and give you a sisterly hug , since I cannot plz accept this and know you will be on my heart and on my mind.
(((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))
Praying for you for strength to be able to face the days ahead.

I'm so glad you have people here to pour your heart out to in your darkest hour of need- I'm sure it must help a tiny bit to be able to have a small release, if even for only a few brief moments. I will keep you in prayer for strength for I know the days ahead will be very hard for you. I don't always have the right things to say but I hope you feel the love of each and every person who has taken the time to respond back to you and that you may feel all the love the people from GLP have to offer.

Again, I am so very sorry to hear this has happened. Sincerest condolences.
