She was only 28. I have never experienced death before. I had imagined one of my parents not my child.

I thought I was strong but I am not.

My beautiful, smart 8 year old boy died of a rare flu complication on June 7. It was sudden and my wife, family and I are still processing. It will never be right, but you can go on. Be strong and let yourself feel the way you do. There's a lot of poison to get out over the coming months.

So sorry.

Very sorry OP. We lost a child to umbilical cord strangulation in labor and I've never known a pain to compare to that. But I've since learned our strength is nothing compared to our Savior's...and His strength is ours for the asking.

I know this isn't a time to preach, so I'll just leave you with that last thought and prayers for you.

You're sweet. They worked on him for a hour an not a moment has passed since the first chest compression that I haven't wished it could have been me. Losing a child is beyond words... But I will say that we saw such goodness, true kindness, in people in the wake. A child dying is a universal tragedy, and one that ripple through a community.

OP - rely on your friends, family and community. You need them. Accept their help and know that they sincerely want to give it.

Very sorry for your loss. I lost my father a few months back, and many here truly helped me through the grieving process. So, don't discount this forum for that.

OP - just know that she is in a much better place now, and smiling down on you. You will be fine, and will get to see her again when the time comes.

I am so, so sorry for your loss...as people have said, don't be alone during this time, surround yourself with people, be they friends or simply acquaintnces...they will be there for you. If you don't believe it, just look at all the posts here, for you, and not one SNARK !

If you believe, find a church group or prayer group to be with.

Again, my condolences for your loss and prayers for your healing.

Eleven, I have no words of wisdom for you because child loss is the most horrific journey to be on. I have been on it for 6.5 years. Breathe is the best thing I can tell you. Breath one second at a time. People will say the damndestt things to you. Try and let it roll off because they just don't understand how devastating child loss is. I will keep you in my thoughts. hf
