So how do we talk ourselves into women wanting us?

...if injustice, is of such a nature that it requires you to be the agent of injustice to another, then, I say, break the law. Let your life be a counter friction to stop the machine.

You don't.

Be yourself and the more ideal partner will come your way soon enough.

If you have a front character, hiding the true you, then you are likely to attract the wrong person. Thus ensuring misery or relationship failure.

On a human level, be confident with head tall. Smile and show your life is good. Hang around other females as friends and be nice to them. Ladies talk....

For men who can not get laid the normal way.

I really do not like prostitution. It is wrong, like other nasty things people should not do.

Simple answer...'Be the love that you are'. hf

So the 24 year old guy with multiple sclerosis who is incapable of finding a sexual partner like you or I but still has those same urges should be denied the ability to have sex with a consensual adult because hes paying for it?! No way. Prostitution should be legal and regulated.

You make a point there. Sorry pal.

I agree with regulation.....that would remove the criminal part of it. Get it off the streets and into a professional establishment.

I wish you the best!

Re: Principles for a Healthy Life
Useless.

One should throw away the negative thoughts of pessimism and lack of confidence in the success of the work at hand.

OK. How?

One of the most common mistakes made by self-help guru's is that that they don't know how to practise it themselves and therefor can't explain how to achieve that.

The key is to using forethought and pleasure (punishment) thinking BEFORE you make a choice of continuing the negative thoughts. It is not easy, especially in today's world. Negative thoughts bombard us from every which way, in a way it just makes us stronger.

It's okay to think a negative thought for a time, analyze it, figure out the *root* of WHY you think this is a negative thought...maybe the thought is trying to 'show' you something. You must slow down enough to figure out "why". If we're too busy (like most humans) we will respond to ANY AND ALL stimuli emotionally (mammalian brain) or worse, instinctively (reptilian brain). We all need to slow down and use our limbic brain and ask "WHY?"

For example, I struggle with procrastination, so once I notice I'm making excuses in my head for why I can't do something right away I stop the thoughts dead in their track and remind myself of the things I accomplished the day/week before. Once I start recalling the tasks I completed the day before I start to smile and remember how much I did for my son, neighbor, stranger, etc.

^^that is what it means to transmute an emotion at a basic level. You take the 'negative' aspect and turn it into a 'positive'.

Making lemonade out of lemons...

May I suggest a simple mental exercise for you? Next time you're being pessimistic think about something that makes you happy, something simple like the last time you kissed your lover, visualize it, hopefully it will make you smile and see if you don't feel better. Even better is if you connect an action to this feeling, so maybe you give someone near you a hug.

We must not repress our negative thinking, we must 'work through them' and figure out the why.

Hope this helps.

Re: Principles for a Healthy Life
Procrastination is often the refuge of the perfectionist. Lower your ideals. While it may seem contrary to Peals's advice, try it. If you want to be an artist and your expectation of producing the perfect painting (that you imagine) but never pick up the brush and practice, your painting would never appear. Break down your desired outcome into smaller more attainable and reasonable goals.

Thinking that you are lazy is bad self-talk. So start the year with a positive affirmation. I am full of energy and absolutely rock at accomplishing my tasks.

Procrastinators have ancient tribal blood of "sit and wait" hunters. They do nothing but sit and wait for game to walk by, then spear or club the game. It's in your blood to sit and do nothing but read GLP.

Re: Principles for a Healthy Life
Be accepting of others path...you may not understand it or like it but remember we are all on our own journey here...sometimes the most thoughtless job is one where we prompt someone into action. Not by manipulated measures but by actually being the light, the attitude you want said person to experience. Sometimes it takes years to show someone unconditional love, especially if they have been 'used' before.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the nameless, faceless people who have prompted me into action. I am forever grateful ;)

Great posts, all of them. And the part about the blood (DNA) is true. Which is why most rhesus negative people have ADD/ADHD. Not the way the Physicians Desk Reference states but more along the lines of we must be stimulated (novelty) or our brain gets bored very easily.

Ofcourse, all novelty is not desirable.

Re: Principles for a Healthy Life
You are what you eat. It is really true. My principle of healthy living is to make an eating plan. It really helps. I Make a grocery list, put it into my iPhone, I like those free apps for food like [link to buymeapie.com] And stick to it very strictly when I go to a shop. It helps me a lot. And some exercises, of course
