Destiny is the perfect example. The lack of content is such a rip off but they get you for $120 for all the extras. Only game I'm looking foward to is Fallout4. Recently i deceided to play gran turismo 3 on the ps2... no cheats... this game is LONG to get a nice car.. you can farm money for a while.. Althought when you soup up cars, this game doesn't appear all that much ballanced, but if you play with stock cars, the game is number 1. to point one of the issue that bugged me is with the toyota alteza.. you could soup up that car up to 450 HP.. and when you get the Alteza Lm race car, you can additional place a 90 k turbo on it.. that car become a 1000 Hp race car that weights as little as 980 kg or around it.. logic faillure here. Same engine, but hey. Anyway, without tunning i find the cars much more fun to drive. I bought gran turismo 5 XL for 15$... pretty cheap, i thought the game would as awesome as gran turismo 3... boy was i wrong... So i pop the game disc in, download the dlc that come with the game, and install it.. Then in the game, i start playing. the game give me a lvl 4 car at the begning to help me out.. i didn't wanted to play like that so i sold the car. and went out to buy a lvl 0 car to start like it should.. I bought a tiburon tuscani which i slightly upgraded to 300 Hp.. Kind of good, but anyway... This is where the fun starts or straight of end... i check on the special events... You rank so much money when you do those special events that you really don't need to even bother about the original events in the game. Althought you can only win the cash once... when you get a gold.. you get the cash prize of gold + silver + bronze. WHT? Yup, So after a few events, i got to level 8.. and bought a lotus esprit v8 at 116 k... Making cash in grand turismo 3 was so hard and in here it's a litteral joke. Ok so anyway, i told myself, don't woory you won't be able to go like that endlessly right? To my big suprise i can just farm on special events until i hit level 32. the higher the level the more the cash you get on races... at level 13 a gran tour race can award you 110 k for getting a gold... a single event!!! Ok so i got bored and decided to shop for a brand new car.. when you check for cars.. some cars have a red mark on them. red mark cars means they are dlc cars... oh and they have a price tag... so no problem... the way gt 5 wroks is that even thought you might have the money, you need to have the concurant level to buy the car. So anyway at level 13 i browse to see what i can buy.. the covertte prototype get my attention, but i need to farm a little more. ok no problem... So at level 14 i go back to get the sweet corvette... click on it, choose the paint.. then this stupid ass window pop up... (This is DLC, in order to access this car you need to purchase Corvette prototype from the play station store. Then activate the dlc from the main menu. i was ... MOTHER FUCKERS....They put those shiny cars in your face with the..hey you want that? it has a price, but you can't buy it... in grand turismo 3, some cars had the --- mark next to their price.. like not for sale... but by playing the endurance race you can make these cars "purchasable" Now to make matters worst.. game breaker litteraly... i save my game, go back to main menu. click on the dlc icon and activate all the shitty dlc that came with the game... now i get back to the gt mode....HOLY FUCKING SHIT!... i got 19 CARS waiting for me in the trade section... Gifts literally... I can take these cars and use them to win races and cash, but i can't sell them... ok seems legit... So i look at the cars the game give me... on that there is 8 super cars! and the famous red bull x2011 prototype... Level 40 race car at 20 million... 1531 Hp... 0.0 So i assumed that at least i would "require" level 40 to hop in and drive it... well no... i can be a level 0 nobody and drive litteraly the fastest car the game as to offer..... the thing about gran turismo franchise is "simulation" and this car has nothing of simulation... brake from 200 mph to 0 in 1,1 seconds and the car doesn't even slide away... Does that seem normal? maybe there is some wierd pressurisation to brake faster, but still the car is not going to brake that fast... in gran turismo 3 you had the suzuki escudo at 1780 hp.. the car wasn't a cheap shoot, it is extremely difficult to drive. if you don't upgrade it it stays at 1000 hp. at 1000 hp it's much more stable and easier to drive. anyway. i got pissed at gt 5 and i am still playing it, but i am not enjoying it all as much as i would have before. I only collect all Nintendo, sega, Atari, and PS1 stuff. But if I ever come across any sealed games I keep them sealed. I'm in a town of 100,000 people and I think there are only 3 of us who collect sega CD lol. I keep track of what I've bought and sold and I've spent $4700 so far. I got 2 Facebook groups and also FMGA.ca which are controlled by 6 of us. Making no money but it's fun and Easy to buy and sell stuff with people in my town. |

Beside steam released software developer kits to create game mods from the source engine... Left 4 dead was inspired from a source mod. if you have at least one source based game you can download black mesa source... it's a totaly remade half life 1 by content creators such as you speak off. Also if you want you can check blender 3d community for games coding and programing... Unity engine is also very versatile and powerful.. unreal engine 3 is getting old at this point, but still offer a cheap way to make video games. There are game engines that have untapped potential like the one from insect armagedon. really fluid and everything can be destroyed!
