Re: INTERSTELLAR - what a RUSH
It was a movie for the space tards. What a boring movie.

Sheep loved it though so it succeeded to do what it was supposed to.

If you've got a brain, you saw the problems with the movie.

Object on moon, points to saturn gateway for human life to start anew on a new world. All pushed along by aliens, God, what have you.

Other than the planet surfing, it was a rip off. Sorry to disappoint. I mean even TARS was a HAL Obelisk...

hesright

I didn't even realize how similar they were. Now that I think about it... it's the same damn movie almost.

WTF are you talking about?

Interstellar was the best film of the year thus far. With only a few weeks in the year left, I'm guessing Interstellar will get nominated for best film, and I hope it wins.

Saw it today, best space film in years. Truly epic.

Much better than gravity.

I spit on your pathetic karma system. Keep giving me red. I want to have the record for most red. It is purely a system for control and it won't work on this one. I laugh at your blatant manipulations.

rockon

I'm about to watch Gravity on blu-ray, if it's only half as good as Interstellar, then I'm in for a real treat!

Re: INTERSTELLAR - what a RUSH
Sooo many docking scenes! I loved it cause it reminded me of Kerbal Space Program. Docking is tough and scary. So many flashbacks to failed missions... but also flashbacks to the great successful "I can't believe I did that" docking situations too!

Good times!

Even though that movie was called "Interstellar", I feel a better title would have been "Relativity", or "Relativity is a Bitch." hf

Re: INTERSTELLAR - what a RUSH
There was some music in the tense scene [docking scene with Matt Damon I think] where I knew the music or something really close to it and I'm sure everyone does but I couldn't place it.

Anyone know what movie or music piece it was like?

I often notice they repeat music themes even if just a few bars to stir an emotion. Often you hear a few bars of TERMINATOR music in a film.

I think YOU must be brain-dead, friend.
Here's a comment from someone who understood it:

"Interstellar film = "Cosmic Empathy"

I think I "got" the main point of Interstellar, when I saw "Coop" (Matthew McConnachy) floating in his space suit in the Hall of Record, and using his power of empathy to make contact with his daughter, across the universe, in a different time. Empathy is our cosmic telegraph, without wires and time limitations. And it is what separates us from mere Mann (of the Illuminati type), who have ditched their humanity in search of money, power, and other selfish ends.

Christopher Nolan is our era's principle anti-Illuminati film-maker. In his new film, Interstellar, we see him confidently pick up the torch from Stanley Kubrick."
