Truckers-GLP'ers!! Anyone Having GPS Problems?? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 47095741 United States 11/23/2014 12:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hi all, Quoting: BoroBoro So, I am a trucker and this morning at about 5am Pacific time my GPS went off by 19 miles, causing me to miss my target. Then just a few minutes ago (about 8:15pm Pacific)while parked at a truck stop. The GPS started alerting me that I was "Out of Route" by about 19 miles. The display showed me as in motion but yet I am parked. I have two separate GPS systems and both are doing the same thing. Did the Earth just move? Did the GPS sats just move? Anyone else notice this?? North Central Nevada here. Boro Because GPS can be utilized as a poor mans navigational guide for weapons its always been understood that just prior to a war the US is going to be in, our GPS signals will be scrambled. This so that our military has the coding to use our satellites but no one else does. That means domestic users also. Most GPS cell phone and other current systems also use the Russian GPS, which may not have been shut off and hence your less accurate reading. Then again its probably just your equipment. However, if you experience an extremely bright flash of light, don't walk to a window to check it out. |
