"Supplements and ideas that help when you feel like crap" thread
For years I've posted to the "strange facts" thread but have recently wanted to make my own thread I can mod on the topic.

This ISN'T an autoimmune specific thread. It's more a general discussion and place to start if you feel like crap. If you decide or find out you have something else, and want to discuss that at length, move it to one of the other threads or start another. This thread is just supposed to be a starting place to go to to get ideas of how to feel better, or things to maybe consider.

Edit: If your post contains stuff that shouldn't be on here or is quoting stuff that shouldn't be on here I will have to quote the the edited post and remove the original. OP's discretion sorry.

stop doing drugs, alcohol, smokin, marijuana, etc, do sports and eat healthy you will see how much less you feel like crap.

That hint is better than anything else posted on the entire internet and deep web.

I think you have to take a holistic approach. Meaning, it isn't right to say "You feel like crap, it must be because you've been thinking "bad thoughts"".

Maybe you've been thinking bad thoughts because your body is seriously deficient in minerals especially magnesium?

Good health comes first from the mind, later from everything else.

Doesn´t matter if you have a nice diet, if you have bad thoughts you are shitting inside of you, with consecuences over time.

People relying on external supplements instead of fixing their heads first is what makes most illnesses a chronical ailment.

Depak Chopra says that good thoughts can change your DNA so that even if you have inherited diseases the DNA gets overridden. (my paraphrase of his words) He said it on a Dr Oz show in the last month that I just happened to catch.

Your emotions are not yours.
But the collective voice of your cells speaking about your thoughts. The consecuence, of them.

When your body feels fear, for example, it is because your thoughts inspire fear and disharmony into the collective organism of cells that comprises the human body. It is because you are thinking WRONG. Generating illness as a consecuence of disharmony.

Eliminate "good fats" (polyunsaturates); they're actually bad for you.

Take charcoal to cleanse your intestines and balance hormones.

Take homeopathy for your "quirks" and traumas, go to sleep early, sleep with a mask, and walk instead of running. Get sunlight before noon most days.

2/3 Tumeric, 1/3 fine ground black pepper mixed with just enough olive or grapeseed oil to produce "putty-balls"

About 1/4 teaspoon size balls of this at a time, put each in the back of your throat and slug it down with very cold water. Do this 8 times (2 teaspoons), twice a day.

You will feel warm within an hour and stay there for several hours. Over the days your mind will clear and memory will sharpen. Any inflammation will greatly reduce (some types of arthritis, like mine which is osteo)

Of course as above no drugs or alcohol, tobacco, or other poisons.

Re: "Supplements and ideas that help when you feel like crap" thread
Good music can be really uplifting, I always know when I'm on a downer as I lose my interest in music... But I'm getting interested in the solfeggio frequencies and how they resonate with the body (cymatics is a really fascinating phenomenon). It kind of links in with the water crystallization studies of Matsuo Emoto.

The problem I find, is that when I'm reeaaally feeling like crap, I just can't find the enthusiasm to care or do anything about it!!

Practising the Five Tibetan Rites every day is also meant to be fab- they were apparently developed by the Yogi Masters in the mountains of Tibet, and are said to activate all of the chakras & maintain youth. Not got round to doing them yet though, either!

Vitamin D3 is supposed to be good for depression, as is 5HTP, magnesium complex, GABA (for anxiety), St John's Wort, Vitamin C (2000mg) is always a good one. Oh and B vitamins- I think B1 deficiency is linked with feeling crappy?

I'm thinking of doing a proper detox next week, just flush out the system and reboot. If I can be arsed, of course.

And without sounding too new-agey, I now sleep with rose quartz crystal under my pillow & it may be psychosomatic (but frankly, who cares?) - it has really helped me have more restful sleep.

I've been quite interested in finding out more about crystals, since I've watched lectures by Harry Oldfield and Les Brown especially. They're trained physicists, rather than airy fairy types- and the science is quite fascinating.

Black tourmaline is supposed to be very powerful in dispelling negative energies, and is also supposed to be good at absorbing incoherent electromagnetic frequencies.

One thing too is there are people in your life that can drain you. If you're already sick from some condition you're more susceptible to it. I have to boot drama "all about me" people from my life, not because I want to but because I have to.

People have mentioned to take vitamin D on here but different amounts. They swear by it and say it helps immunity. My doctor told me to take 2000 iu (iu? where is the freaking bottle?) anway that is what my doctor told me to take. Some have posted they take 10,000 I think.

You might check into Adrenal Support supplements, I find they help rebuild you and restore energy if you are feeling tired and depressed. Also Holy Basil is pretty amazing, it lifts your stress immediately and it gives me a great boost mentally.

Check out a guy named Truth Calkins and "Jing City" - they sell it at Longevity Warehouse on line - its a remarkable blend of chinese tonic herbs that are generally restorative.

Someone already suggested the 5 Tibetan Rites, there are youtube videos demonstrating how to perform them and it will help.

Hope you feel better soon.

Re: "Supplements and ideas that help when you feel like crap" thread
these have definitely helped me and my depression:

-go to a doc, get test done for vitamin and mineral deficiencies- buy supplements only if you are deficient in something like zinc (Swansons has reasonably priced supps)
-Go to bed & get up at the same time every day- (even on weekends, you lazy putz) keep doing this, you will feel great
-replace coffee with tea, seldom drink alcohol
-drink tons of water throughout the day, water & tea baby!
-exercise every day, enough to get you sweating
-avoid sugar
-turn your shower cold for a few minutes at the end
-do yoga if you can
-full body stretch when you get up and before bed
-meditation is the king of all exercises
-spend time outdoors every week, get away from human made noise
-if you are not doing what you love it won't be as fun
-fear nothing not even death
-this world is paradise or hell, depends on your attitude/perspective
-keep excellent company or none

don't worry be happy

Hell yes, if they would stop filling themselves with coffee and youtube videos. The monks show the way to live- If you want to feel amazing:

-abstain from sex& masturbating, conserve, preserve and channel that sexual energy into music, art, exercise, your hobbies, whatever you enjoy doing

-abstain from alcohol, caffeine, stimulants, pills, powders, any and all drugs (pot too). Your body naturally heals itself and filters out all that's unnecessary (i.e. 'modern' food)

-abstain from junk food which is hard on the system and enjoy fruits, veggies, rice, beans, eggs

-when you are making your meals, say prayers over it and bless it, thank the plants for their nourishment. You can bless your water too (thank you water may you return to the Divine Source of all things)

-every day say thank you for another day of consciousness, be grateful for all the things you have because nearly the entire population on this Earth has it way harder than you
