VETERAN'S DAY PRAYER PROMPTS THREATS OF LAWSUIT FROM WASHINGTON, D.C.
A veteran said a prayer at the veteran's day assembly at the high school in my town, some 11th grader apparently was "offended" and decided to write a letter to Washington and they responded with threats of a lawsuit against our school system!

We live in a small town, folks aren't happy about this either! It pisses me off that this student is allowed to remain anonymous too! She started this whole mess, she shouldn't be allowed to remain anonymous! Prayer has been in our schools for as long as I can remember, this is ridiculous!

Would you be as upset if a student complained about a Muslim prayer? Doubt it.

Shill.

This is south Louisiana, we believe in God, guns and freedom! There has always been prayer in our schools! The school in question does a "moment of silence" every morning after they say the pledge. This student made it all the way to 11th grade without ever having a problem with prayer, what is different now? The SCHOOL didn't say the prayer, the VETERAN who fought for our freedom and our RIGHT to pray said the prayer, not that it should make a difference who said it, but the VETERAN did it, on VETERAN'S DAY, at the ANNUAL assembly he was invited to! And he simply prayed for the protection of our men and women in uniform and their families! How THE HELL is that "OFFENSIVE"?!
