Imagine what humanity could do with the money spent on wars.

This is the Big One! The showdown between the standard Cometary Model, and the Electric Universe proponents.

Should be interesting, if it succeeds. I'm pretty sure that it will either fail to attach itself to what is expected to be an icy subsurface, or the whole mission will "go dark" due to "unforeseen circumstances" and we will never hear anymore about it.

Call me cynical, but that's how the world works. We plebs just aren't allowed to know anything that contradicts the accepted scientific paradigms.

Plus, NASA lies about everything, so there's that too.

This is the ship named "Rosetta" from the European Space Agency. I think the Italians have something to do with it, hence the Italian name.

On 12 November, Rosetta’s Philae probe is set to make the first-ever landing on a comet when it touches down on Comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko.

Separation of the lander is planned for about 09:03 GMT (10:03 CET), and touch down should follow about seven hours later, at 16:02 GMT (17:02 CET).
