The thing that gets me, especially with the smog problem in Los Angeles, is that the automobile drivers get more of the blame than anything else. But when the airports were shut down for 3 weeks after 9/11, the sky over Los Angeles cleared in just 2 days. I saw mountains I never knew were there before. In fact there were now MORE drivers now because they could only travel except by car yet the air cleared up in 2 days after the airports closed. There was NO LA smog. The brown haze was gone.

It was the airplanes/airports that were causing most of the smog but the state had drivers pay through the nose to get their car smogged every 2 years while the real culprits were ignored.

This Martian melting due to our global warming is a crock and one way TPTB will try to pass a carbon tax. We aren't even totally responsible for global warming, which is a natural cycle. We humans are responsible for some of the atmospheric pollution due to smoke stacks, etc., but not for methane. A ton of methane comes from the ocean.
