Again perception is key, when a person is abandoned by their "friends" and supporters, is outnumbered the correct verbage?

Watching your sibling being beat, strikes fear to 'follow the rules'. Being the one being beaten on, feeds the hero complex of 'saving' ones siblings from the same fate.
