Just noticed something interesting. If you toggle between the terrain and satellite maps all of the lakes surrounding this swarm were completely dry when the satellite photo was taken. Anyone near there know if those lakes are dry now? [ link to earthquake.usgs.gov] Quoting: Resister With significant thunderstorms they can get wet for short periods. Burning Man, about 75 miles to the SE, had a flooding problem this year and had to stop admissions for awhile. These lake beds are very flat. Think of the Bonneville Salt Flats and a car setting a land speed record. They can vary 4 inches in topography over 30 sq miles. I got my VW Beetle up to 92 mph, with the wind, on one in Oregon.
